Far Cry 4 due this November

Has anyone else had issues with forgetting your UPlay password?

Nothing I do sends the reset email. My account definately exists as I played both FC3 and Blood Dragon, and the site recognises my email and username.

However, I haven't got a single email in my inbox ever from Ubisoft, so I wonder if they have issues sending to Gmail addresses?
 
Installed this today, but it really runs badly on my system, even when I set everything to low. :(

Specs are:
i7 overclocked to 4ghz
6gb RAM
AMD HD 7800

Updated to the latest AMD beta drivers, but not made a difference

Are you referring to the random differences between normal, sites and camera?

Also, why the heck doesn't this support 16:10? Bloody black bars on my screen!

Is there any sort of automatic benchmark that sets your graphics for consistent performance? I'm not to bothered about maxing the graphics, but would like it to be consistently smooth.

Yeah. It seems to have one mouse sensitivity for when you're running and one for when you're stood still.

Btw, you can set it to 16:10. The option is just above the resolution option.

Mouse movement is horrific, it stutters like a **** and that's not including the stuttering and odd frame rate drop with nothing much going on as you are driving.

Game didn't impress me anyway tbh, preferred FarCry 3 even though they are both pretty much the same game different pallet :p

Help!!

This game has suddenly become unplayable for me. Initially the only issue was the SLI bug but I forced the Batman:AO profile through Nvidia inspector and it all ran fine. A playable game on both a single card and dual card set up.

Last night I reached the north part of the map for the first time and over there all the bugs return. The game runs like s***, and the SLI shadow glitch returns but with a nasty little twist. This time the problem persists in both dual and single card configurations.

I have messed around with a few settings, tweaked AA, AO, shadows and Godrays and nothing makes a difference.

Anyone else had this problem or know what it might be?
 
Really have not taken to this game at all. I enjoyed FC3 however that was my first exposure to the Ubisoft format of gameplay, every other game I've played since then aka Watchdogs + FC4 is pretty similar. I can't handle more than two missions on FC4 without feeling like I'm forcing myself to play.

I've since purchased BF4 for £5 to try remedy this - hope it grips me more. Also maybe Grid Autosport

Have you tried the fix for the stuttering? Or is this an SLI issue you're talking about? All you do is go to documents>my games>far cry 4>gamerprofile.xml and find DisableLoadingMip0 = "0" and change it to DisableLoadingMip0 = "1", and also GPUMaxBufferedFrames="0" and change to GPUMaxBufferedFrames="1".

This made my version a lot, lot smoother.
 
Yup tried those two + the custom gamer profile posted on guru3d and they helped a "bit" but the stuttering is still very bad, at least for me....

I only have 1x290

You can set it to 16:10, it just sticks black bars top and bottom. The image remains 16:9.

I'm getting bored already. Yes FC3 was amazing, and more of that should be just as amazing, but I'm finding that because this litterally is FC3 again I'm not enjoying it as much.

I actually preferred Blood Dragon as that brought new interesting things to the table. But FC4 feels like nothing more than a new map pack for FC3. Put it this way, if I'd paid full price for it I'd be thouroughly annoyed.

Uplay can burn in hell as far as I'm concerned

Never had any problems resetting my password on Uplay. I assume you've checked your spam folder?
 
Yep. Spent a few hours trying everything. I think there must be something wrong with the emailing on that account as I don't have the confirmation emails from when I created it or anything.

Ive had to create a second account to get FC4.
