Far Cry 6

Just finished downloading the game, ran a few benchmarks at max settings 2160P/1440P, now time to play.

Loaded this up just now and I've got some crazy coil whine in the menus, in game it's not so bad. Anyone else?

Running a 2070 Super.
Yes I got that too, goes away once you play the game. Was getting something silly like a 1000 FPS.

I need to have a fiddle with the graphics settings tomorrow, just did the first hour of the game and its made me feel sick, like motion sickness. I've had this before on some titles and its always been something in the graphics settings thats caused it. I'll give it a look tomorrow and try some different settings.
Also try increasing the FOV setting, though if on a UW monitor don't go crazy to avoid stretching (I'm so glad the FOV setting is there) and if possible try increase the distance between yourself and the monitor. I've found these work for me.

Problem getting the game started, not the first time I have seen this but that was with older Steam games.
Anyway have not got a clue how to resolve this.

EDIT: For reasons known only to the gaming gods the game has sparked into life.

So far this really does feel like a rehash of other far Cry games, but without the traditional leveling up to unlock skills.

Early mission was to burn down a tobacco field. Pretty sure there's the exact same mission in Far Cry 4 where you burn a drug field.

Your character even comments "Im sure ive done this before" or words to that effect towards the end of that mission :p

Oh, Far Cry 5 had you burning bliss fields.

They can't just keep rehashing it and make a joke, these games need to move forward to stay interesting.

Already I'm not sure I can be bothered. This sums it up really:

This is an intentional nod to previous games.

There are quite a few changes in this game actually.

Finally urban environments, third person camera in towns, third person cutscenes, fully speaking protagonist (compared to 5 and new dawn)..

But it is still a Far Cry game of course.
