Far Cry Primal

Pretty good game and makes a refreshing change from guns and bombs going off.

Holding 60fps ultra settings nicely with a stock i5-2500k, AMD 390 and 8GB.

Yes the saves are a bit iffy but no real complaints at all from me.

cdkeys have Far cry primal special edition for £21.99 and the standard one for £22.90. I've never bought from cdkeys before, are they O.K?

I assume the special edition includes the standard game plus a few ad-ons. Seems odd that its cheaper?

Must say, this is much better then I expected. Took a punt for £21.99 Special Edition off cdkeys.com and I'm glad I did. Best Farcry game I've played. The sound is superb in 5.1 and the "real" language used adds great atmosphere. Some parts of the day look absolutely stunning. Excellent distraction from xcom 2 and The Division. So much to do... recommended from a none Far Cry fan.

Yeah it's aight. Story is pathetic though, no attempt to create an engaging narrative whatsoever and the characters are hella boring. Considering this is a series that's known for its interesting antagonists it's odd to see literally none here. People have been giving me that 'oh well it's they're a primitive people, not able to construct complex relationships, positive or otherwise'. Load of rubbish. If I wanted factual accuracies I'd go play AC. Wait...

Game gets way too easy in the mid/late game too. Just send my bear in everywhere now to tear **** up whilst I pick the land clean of slate and wood.

I think you make your own story up. The main antagonist is the violent world, much more interesting then Pagan for example. I haven't tamed a bear yet, but I hope the game doesn't go to far down hill from there.

I agree to a certain extent. But Pagan and Vaas where necessary evils to give your actions context, despite whether or not we liked how the characters themselves where implemented. Here it just feels like I'm doing things by numbers. Just doing the Ubisoft thing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying it and think it's compotent enough. But it costs next to nothing to craft an interesting story, with characters who have actual character outside of loading screen messages telling me they do.

Bought special edition from CD Keys this morning. Been playing it this afternoon. Never had issue buying from them.

I've just done the same thing a few minutes ago, tried to activate it in Uplay & it tells me the key is already in use by another account

Does this happen often? first time i've ever not had a DVD version of a game

Waiting now for reply from CDKeys

EDIT: very fast response from CDKEYS, new key sent straight away so downloading now :D

Think I will pick this up - not a bad price at all. Could do with something a bit different.

As a Farcry fan I was very wary of this deviation from the normal shooter but I have to say it's brilliant and very cleverly done so you can still drive albeit on the back of animals & you can aso view & attack enemies from the air via your tame Owl. :p

Anyone had any issue with the Beasts menu in this? It seems to intermittently work for me but more recently pressing the B key consistently does nothing even though I have beasts tamed. My Sabertooth just got killed, so did I but on respawning I now cant call up a beast due to the menu not working. Only option is to tame another knowing it'll then instantly follow me.

I do use an ergonomic keyboard but doubt that'll be the cause...?
