Far Cry Primal

Played Far Cry 4 (my first ever Far Cry) on PS4 around 3 months ago. Played and completed within 6 weeks (which for me is very quick). I'm looking forward to Primal however need to finish off 'The Following', I cant decide whether to go for PS4 and have it casual sofa gaming or get it on my new PC and have it as my new main game....

Despatched today hopefully for delivery tomorrow :)

I do love me a bit of Far Cry, should be interesting how that translates to the setting.

Think back to 2004 when Far Cry came out and was one of the greatest games ever made. Now fast forward to 2016 and the franchise has been reduced to this. Talk about going backwards...

Ubisoft should quit and hand it back to Crytek who actually know how to make a decent game.

Far Cry 3 was the best of the whole lot, I'd say. I'm still on the fence with this but will no doubt pick it up at Christmas in the Steam sale. I'm in no rush. :p

I'm looking forward to this.
Loved FC3 and 4. Want to play them again, but......not sure about you guys but if i re-play a game that i've not played in years, i still remember how to do stuff, ie, how to tackle certain parts/obstacles of the game, which makes it less fun to play 2nd time round.

Well, they're in the process of going bust after bailing themselves out by selling the family jewels to Amazon....so don't hold your breath.

Ryse didn't exactly set the world on fire.

Looking forward to trying this out...FC3 was great but I've just not been able to get interested in FC4, can't put my finger on what exactly....

I found the landscape a bit dull compared to the lovely blues/greens of FC3. But the best thing in FC4 was flying about in the "Little Nellie" helicopter thing. That was great fun and made doing the radio towers very quick.

I think in FC:P it's going to be all about the animal taming. That's the new gameplay mechanic this time around.

Half tempted to buy this today If I can find my GAME cards lol

Edit: Special edition, PS4 on the bay for £39 due for the 25th :) Happy bunny now.

Am about 4hrs in and really enjoying it. Just tamed my first Wolf. If you like the idea of caveman type games and love Far cry then this will be right up yer dark smelly cave.

Played a few hours on this tonight, it's very Far Cry'esque, as you would expect.

Same as 3/4 with a different skin basically. If you liked those two games, I see no reason why you wouldn't like this.

I was worried about the use of the animals as weaponry, but have to say it works very nicely.

Glad to hear that. As I mentioned earlier, the Shangri-La bit in FC4 with the white tiger was done quite well, I should imagine this is just more of the same (but without invisible and resurrecting tigers). ;)

I like the Far Cry formula and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy this game, but I'm going to wait until it comes down in price before buying. I've bought far too much recently!

Yep exactly. There's some nice variation to the beasts as well, granted i've only got a couple thus far but both have very different traits, and supplement play style in different ways.
