Well, your insinuation is that this is going on outside of the boundaries and control of FCA guidelines (which the course would inform you of). Can I see an example?

Let me repeat again the issue is when this happens and the people/ groups affected are kept in the dark about why. Mindlessly telling me that a bank may be acting in accordance with the FCA guidelines doesn't address the question now does it!

And the issues is: Should the, often concerted, punishment (removal or hinderance of the ability to interact in society in often major ways) of individuals of groups be carried out by private institutions in ways were the persons or groups affected cannot even establish what they are alleged to have done wrong in the first place.

That's not exactly an exhaustive list of reasons and if it is the private bank speculated it could also be a more mundane one along the lines of he's not all that rich and isn't generating much revenue for us.

Of course, if it is political as he seems to think then that is concerning especially given the parent company is still partly owned by the state.

If Farage has fallen foul of Coutts minimum net worth requirements they could just tell him that when they decided to terminate his accounts rather than keeping him in the dark which, as per the posted link, seems to be a common problem with banks.

And if someone was to go public and moan about their account being cancelled for such a reason I would be in full support of the financial institution being able to publicly defend their decision by saying something like "We cancelled this account because the customer no longer met our minimum net worth requirements"

apparently you're so limited in your lateral thinking and maybe lacking in principles that you are not even able to consider that me mentioning Corbyn is exactly because *I would defend him from being treated in the way Farage claims he has been treated* despite me being far from a fan of his politics.

Because unlike you I understand that laws and regulations need to be applied consistently and with as much transparency as is practicable.

Do you have to spend much time coming up with such ridiculous analogies or do they come naturally?

Because every time my car has failed an MOT (I have owned three Fords in the past by the way) I have been given a document that explicitly stated the reasons why the MOT test had failed and was therefore able to correct the issue or issues and re submit the car to be retested
