Farage has bank accounts closed

So you're saying that everyone that both Farage and the Triggernometry team are lying then? I'm not going to mention the countless people who had PayPal shut down on them
I’ve not used PayPal since they blocked the Free Speech Unions accounts.

Not sure what bank this was, but PayPal was up to all sorts. Spoken about biology on social media recently, you can be labelled as a hate speech perpetrator and get you PayPal account shut. At least with PayPal there tends to be alternatives as they really are extreme in their application of it.

IF everything he said was true, he has done nothing wrong, then this is out of order.
problem is, the man is a known serial liar up there with BoJo................ I dont believe him.

Either it is true he received some shady money, or there is something else that flagged him imo, or he is essentially making it up as clickbait for more to tune into GBeebies.

It could be an error and he has been unfairly black listed, if so when eventually sorted out i expect he will be due compensation but my money is on either dodgy income or him lying.

it wont be because he is a nasty piece of work who politically the banks do not like.

My only question is why now and not years ago? It's still more or less the same government and whilst I think the Tories are garbage I don't think they'd risk doing this unless it was absolutely necessary.

I will needlessly speculate and say that he's taken a big fat bag from naughty clients and was found out.

Sounds like Trump

"trying to force me out of the UK"

See ya. You won't be missed.

It is literally word for word how Trump talks. They are coming after him and he is the only thing stopping them coming after us. God these people make me sick. You aren't one of us Nigel, you are and have been dining at the top table your entire life. You don't care a damn about the common man, you are just a grifter and always will be.

In the warped reality of his supporters, as seen on here, this is an attack on his very being. See an example here:

These days it's more likely he mis-gendered someone or suggested some other modern shibboleth was untrue. It needn't be the act of Government everyone major business thinks their on the right side of history for refusing services on the basis of politics now.

Give over now, I was making a more general point. Companies like PayPal have been very proactive in barring people who's politics they don't agree with on the spurious grounds of "hate speech" which plainly means speech I hate. I was pointing out that such process are now extending out of the normal preventing crime into the political.

Claiming my comment is representing some warped reality of his supporters requires a decent bit of reality warping itself.

Probably a reaction to him deservedly winning the TRIC award 2023 this week :) .

Nigel Farage wins major TV award beating Piers Morgan

Nigel Farage stunned the television world by scooping best news presenter at the Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) awards today.

The former Brexit leader beat fellow GB News host Eamonn Holmes and Talk TV's Piers Morgan as he won the hotly contested award.

But the victory did not come before some controversy with rhe TRIC Awards main sponsors kicking him out of the drinks reception area before the event got underway.

Mr Farage later received an apology.

But before going in he joked on video that many of the people in the awards had interviewed him and "treated me like a war criminal."

He's welcome to come and stay here.

"God save the Queen, man". "Putin's losing the war in Iraq", plus whatever other sad nonsense has passed the senile President of the United State's lips today that I have missed <LOL>

Do you have a credible source of this law?
What law?

We're in the area were private businesses are running essential services, banking in this case, so they can make their own rules up depending on whatever political grounds they want. They don't have to give a reason.

That is the problem. When we move to a cashless society are you happy that a bank can decide what you can or can't purchase?

If we get a far right government in and the country swings back to victorian morals. Eventually anyone promoting anything outside of religious values would be seen as a disruptive person. They go on to social media and see you've wrote verboten things. Then when you go to your banking app you'll get the message 'Sorry, we have no record of this account'.

That is where we're heading. People like Farage and others are the easy targets. The canary in the coal mine. It's to get all the people who don't like Farage, and the people who don't care, to accept it as the new reality, as surely it'll never happen to them...

Any person expressing anti government views will be susceptible to this at some point, no matter what your politics is.

I thought the what awards. Had to google them. Genuinely never heard of them.

Seems a very very odd shortlist each year for news presenters, normally not really including any actual real news presenters!

It should really be current affairs* as opposed to news.

*Ie prattle
