Fastest speed

Passenger - 147mph in an Evo 1, speedo wasnt connected, this was calculated through gearing and rpm, was well in the red in 5th.

Driver - 145mph+ on the clock in Integra Type R

Driver - way off the clock, calculated at 155mph in a 260bhp turbo EG6 Civic, pulling 8500rpm in 5th on a Integra SiR-G gearbox.

Hmmmmm,

Driver: 135 (indicated) Escort 1.8Si
Passenger: 145 (indicated) BWM 328 Sport Coupe

Shows how far speedos are out though -135 in a 1.8 Escort with only a zorst, hahahaha :D

Scort.

lol, i never take much notice of speedo readings past about 50mph.

I had a standard 1.6 vti civic to an indicated 146mph, yet the book speed is about 133mph.

I also got a 1.0l micra off the clock reading over 100mph, that was funny, big downhill mind, was probably doing about 85 :D

We were under the misty impression he was working with a company that did high performance suspension setups for super cars and the like. This seemed odd as you'd expect that was a reasonably well paid job where you'd drive something better than a Renault Megane.

Tell us more, we could do with a laugh.

Depends what role specifically he may of done. Generally engineering pay sucks anyway though.
