In the first set of pictures the clothes on some make her look better than others, for example 165 looks better than 140.
As for the second picture whilst obviously she's lost a lot of weight (and good for her) it uses the classic bad light, badly shot grumpy looking picture versus well shot, happy looking picture that most diet adverts use.
