What would you say is the best cereal for heart health?

Generally speaking something low glycemic like porridge oats would be a good place to start. Quinoa, buckwheat and millet - (though millet is not low on the g.i. scale) are other good choices. You can liven them up with yoghurt and less readily fermenting fruits like coconut, apple, pear and banana etc.

However, they are not available in the supermarkets as they are American, so I get a box when I go to bluewater.

Weetabix most days though.

I used to have these when I was a kid! they were in super markets then. I'll keep a look out.
