Favourite Jailbroken Applications

Nope it's not a mistake. If you bought the 3. Version They give you the 'special offer' price for the 4. Version at half price. The bloody cheek of it. Imagine if the apps in the AppStore worked like that.

Depends if it is a MAJOR revision of the app. Tweetie 2 was released as an entirely separate app to the original. So you were effectively paying twice. Surely it would be better if developers (on the legit app store) could charge an upgrade price for existing customers?

I had to remove backgrounder because I found out it was causing my Iphone 4 battery to drain from 100% to 85% in 7hrs of standby.

I wish Apple could make it so that there would be symbol in the app icon so I know the it's being multitasked.

but atm I'm liking Infifolders which allows you to put more than 12 apps in a folder so I can have one Game Folder rather that 3.

Well, decided to give this a go... What a load of crap I can't believe the hype jail breaking gets!

The cydia app is slow and buggy, technical sounding errors popping up all the time, adverts strewed randomly, packages missing... Feels like when I have to emulate windows on my mac, it taints the overall "slickness"

Right now on my iPhone, the cydia app has a spinning think icon going round at the top saying Error: Sub-process something something... The whole things just so not apple IMO.

First thing tomorrow, it's going back to standard.

EDIT: restored now no problem... seriously guys unless you have an undying need to faff with your phone I really wouldn't bother, the only thing imo which is a worthwhile change is remove recents as thats how it should have been but other than that theres just so much unnecessary crap on there...

On cydia there is a app called remove recents. It does just that, removes just shortcuts to recent apps from tasks and leaves the proper multitasking ones. It's how apple should have done it from the start

I think jail breaking is largely a waste of time, the clincher for me though is mywi, it suddenly makes the need for a iPad 3G pointless and a waste of mo ney and a dedicated myfi device redundant

All i have installed....

Lockinfo and plugins
Five icon dock
Remove recents
Mywi (I can't stress how amazing this app is)

Like others have said forget winter board, it slows your iphone down and is a pointless app imo

iTunes does a good job of getting it back to how it was. I jailbroke my iPhone 4 last night and them undid it without any issue. The only thing you have to do manually is arrange all your app's again.

For anyone else that's having trouble finding it, the app on Cydia to download videos from YouTube is called YourTube and YourTube HD (for the iPad).

I usually try and not let mis-spelling bother me, but when it's things like this it really ****es me off. It's not just on here but numerous places from Googling it.

What are they saying then instead of YourTube? Hell i even put that one in OP :p

Same as the app iProtect I think (set password for entering any app in your iPhone and iPhone specific features like camera etc).

Oh ok, if you have anything private though just leave the phone locked? When I'm not using mine it's always locked so why faff about with passwords for each app? Unless I'm missing something lol

Yes you are. What if you lend someone your phone? And like me you have naked pics of your gf in your photo directory. You don't want to be a total geek and like 'na mate you can't lend it', I give them it but have a pass setup on the camera/photos. Also I lend people my phone for playing games etc but don't want them going through the settings menu etc messing up my setup.
