Feedback on logo?

Just put the container div around your existing content, for example:

Code:
<div id="container">

     <div id="header">
          <p>blah blah blah</p>
     </div>

     <div id="content">
          <p>blah blah blah</p>
     </div>

     <div id="footer">
          <p>blah blah blah</p>
     </div>

</div> <!-- end container -->

What are you using? Fixed?

I imagine a lot of your problems are coming from style="text-align:left/right/center" you're using in your HTML. Use floats in the CSS.

Container is working but your footer looks odd now.

The background of the footer inside the container doesn't line up with the one outside. In Safari anyway.

What I've got atm is the main page background centered as I need it, but the other elements aren't staying in their position within the container. Or in other words, it only looks right when the window is resized. :p

Much to learn, I still have. Hmm.

Just been over to the DT forums to read your thread on this project. The evolution is remarkable, and the end result is an improvement on every level :)

One observation: you've used some bastardised Helvetica for the logotype. It looks great on some letters - the 'r' in particular - but the balance of some of the strokes is now off. The crossbar on the 'e' and 't' could really do with thickening to bring it in to line with the rest of the letter shapes.

I'd also be tempted to play with the tie shapes; the 'i'-tie substitution concept is fine, but the shapes, as currently portrayed, are perhaps a bit too incongruous in the middle of the type.

Exactly the kind of thing I was meaning.

Although personally I'd make the tie slightly smaller so the face was a bit tighter with the text (the bottom part of the tie would be the same height as the other letters).

The blue tie is better IMO.

Actually I'd maybe keep the tie the same size and just lower that wee illustration so the tie was hanging down very slightly from the rest of the text.

Wow no offence but your first effort was ass :D Glad you persevered though because the new one is excellent, your latest layout is also by far the best. I would also be tempted to bring the head down further and dangle the tie just below the baseline to bring it all together better.

Also I'm afraid I have to agree with Hatter and suggest losing the tagline.
