Feek's macOS useful tools, utilities and applications thread

Is there a free scanner app out there for iPhone? I could really use one but the subscription model that seems to be haunting every app these days is too expensive. I won’t use it enough to be spending £6 or £7 a month! Any alternatives?

You know you can scan to pdf on the iPhone without needing any additional app?

But as said, this thread is really for the Mac.

It's not enabled by default so with a bit of luck, all you need to do is set the preferences folder within the Alfred settings and your workflows should re-appear.
Is yours syncing with Dropbox, or are you using iCloud? I ask as they recommend not using iCloud, but I really don't want to install Dropbox on both Mac's.

Fair enough, I got it working with iCloud, just had to wait for the file to download on my personal MacBook before setting the folder.

I've successfully used Velja and Shortery to solve my browser conundrum. I want to set my default browser depending on whether I'm working or not. This is what I have...

Focus:
  1. Work. Triggered by location at the office OR whether the work VPN is on.
  2. Personal. Default Focus
Shortcuts:
  1. Set default browser to Safari. There is a nice app called Velja that allows you to build shortcuts to set a default browser.
  2. Set default browser to Edge
At the moment there is no built in functionality to macOS that allows you to run a shortcut when a Focus is triggered. Shortery to the rescue! I've configured Shortery and then triggered that in the Focus settings.

Velja can be found at https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/velja/id1607635845?mt=12
Shortery is at https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/shortery/id1594183810?mt=12

Super Agent for Safari now wants payment, any decent alternates? It works alright, but not well enough for me to pay what they want for it.
