Feel like I'm missing out on some low end *Solved with XXLS400*

I just struggle to understand what am I going to get for 300 quid, am I going to be underwhelmed if I want to crank it up with some music or stock a movie on ?

Ideally I'd love to pay £250 but yes 300 at a push. I'm worried about delivery seems like it takes a while to deliver subs and God knows if I'd be in or not

I'm trying not to use anymore credit, I feel I can afford it at the moment and I may consider some floorstands in a year or two, maybe then get a new amp and a center speaker to have surround, I use my system for music, movies, tv, games, all round really. Sounds good if they use DPD as I know you can pretty much customise delivery time.

It's 100 quid more, Monolith would probably destroy my room as well let alone the plus. I don't mind some boom, and I rekon I could put my XBOX One X on top of the sub so it'll be a nice stand lol.

Looks coated from pictures, and my Z5500 has foam surround, still going after 11 years so assume this will be better quality.

Got the XXLS400!!!!, 390 with all accessories, m8 spikes off the bay. I hope I'll be a happy owner of it for years to come ! Brand new from BKs bay store

I decided against the Monolith due to size and the "better all rounder" of the XXLS400 :) Hope it'll be able to give a good punch when it needs to.

I'll just check my bag pickers I had a bit of change in there I forgot, might only stretch to 2x18" powersound though.

As far as I know, setting the XXLS400 is pretty simple, I'm guessing crossover will have to be set around 80Hz?

I've got my BK Sub and trying to set it up, is the wholr point of the crossover that the sub does the frequencies the speakers can't habdle and the speakers simply don't try to play the frequencies below the crossover?

That's what I thiguht but I played 110hz flat , and crossover at 120, the wharfedales still playing 110hz, same with 50HZ.

Then again this is the crossover on the sub, the speakers won't know what the sub is doing, I can't manually set the crossover on the Denon.

I'm using high oevel now, but on the low level nowt was happening with the crossover. My amp is Denon CEOL Piccolo Dra-n5

I think I probably need a new amp for a proper crossover, and for now ill make do using the neutrik cable.

I've got the sub in the best spot I can, not brilliant, both corners have doors in apart from the ones near the neighbors apt hence not placing speakers on that wall.

I've had to direct the sub sidewards firing towardd the forber, and made sure the door is closed, this doesn't look the best but in this flat I think it's the best compromise. I'll keep trying to fiddle with the crossover for the sub at least and I guess illI need a better amp.

Probably not wanting to get too hung up about it as amp wise I should get something solid and long lasting probably with Dolby Atmos but not for a while.
