FHM

I worked for the publishers for 8 years. In that time I remember seeing Jordan and a few others, breeze past my desk and head towards a photo shoot. That was the best thing about it. I haven't read a copy in years actually but I have heard it has gone from bad to worse.

Have'nt read FHM for quite a while now - when i did read it i found it to be roughly 50% full of adverts

Granted the Confessions/True Stories bit was quite entertaining and occasionally you'd find a joke you'd never heard before (bit like ocuk GD :p)
But all in all thought it quite expensive considering the content.

The only magazine's i buy on a month to month basis are mountain biking UK and Focus - both well worth it imo, but then it does depend on the individual concerned interests :D

It wasn't a knee-jerk comment, I have just not met anyone who has browsed through an FHM and not found it to be entertaining or enjoyable.

:D

FHM was the best out of the three. However I am a very hard man to please and none of them pass muster enough for me to spend money on.

no one likes man titties, unless theres something you haven't told us:eek:

Must have been a cold day :D

They all seem to be full of adverts, but honestly, I would find it difficult to go up and pay for a mag with a half naked woman on the front

I only buy them when the bit of fluff on the cover is one I'd like to look at later, in private.

The magazines themselves are reasonably entertaining, but as has been mentioned above, there's much more in the way of adverts for watches and clothes I don't particularly want and certainly can't afford than actual content.

I had a browse again and I think the advert criticism is very fair. I would guess on average 1 in 5/6 pages is an advert, which is obviously a lot. It wouldn't prevent me from buying it again, but I totally understand such reasoning for disliking it.

Why did you disappear for so long :p

I used to like it before it became 99% adverts :(

And the fact it is full of people promoting stuff, "snippet of andy mcnabs in Iraq, his new book is out this month"

There interesting stuff to read is garbage now and to short to even enjoy and the internet is the place for looking at celebs in the nude.

I got a subscription to Esquire for £2 and that is the worst blokes magazine ever, the fashion is a joke and they all look like homos and nancy boys who like to put make up on and the adverts are shocking, I counted the 10 first pages where adverts,
