Loving that analogy.Dlss 1.0 = shoulda gone to specsavers
fsr = has been to specsavers
dlss latest = has had laser eye surgery tho still sees ghosting/cataracts

A fan mod has added FSR support for Grand Theft Auto 5
This mod replaces the original GTA5 upscaler when using Frame scale mode in Advanced Graphics Settings lower than display resolution with FSR. The point is to see if FSR produces a better image output at 2560x1440 than the built in GTA5 one.

FSR is more like has gone to a high end optometrist cause you have to run high resolution to get a good image which means you're a baller because you have a 1k graphics card already
i dont see a change in fps when fsr is on. i thought it would jump by 25% more fps with fsr on. so no benefit.
Theres an FSR VR api.dll mod that works on VR. I have tested it and it works to add FPS in many games.

Because its not FSR ignore these videos. The guy just enabled Sharpening.

Do not act like DLSS is perfect at lower resolution either.
Both of these techs perform better when the fixed resolution is already higher.
Thats not true. DLSS in control, you can set the internal resolution to 540p and get a better than native looking 1080p.
10:35 - looks shocking like the native image. 540p @ 1080p vs 1080p. DLSS 2.0 reconstructs the sub pixel detail of the hair better than the native image.
Well, for now maybe, in future u never know what the future holds for fsr 1.1 or 1.2 etc.
i call bs on this, like saying you can add quality back to a compressed audio file. nonsense, so how does it magically do that then? please explain in detail because id love to here it.Yeah thats a big and immediately noticeable difference between dlss and FSR and hence why dlss is better with fewer pixels - dlss can add back pixel detail that doesn't exist with it off, dlss is able to get you detail that you couldn't see before, where as fsr only takes away detail - you can set the level of detail removed but it never adds anything back
