I think when someone has Ronaldo (especially if the rest of the team is average) they seem to just try to play everything to him. If you can lock Ronaldo down the game becomes easy because the other guy never seems to have a plan B.

Yeah every single CR7 I faced in 13 was basically people obsessed with playing it to him.

I had Benzema and Di Maria up top with him so I could easily score with anybody else if the chance was there.

Ronaldo ended up with a 2.3 goals a game ratio for me in 13 . Over 150 games as well (only got him late).

Maybe the difference in quality between a bronze and a gold isn't what people expect...EA have clearly made Bronze's to a level that if you didn't know what player you were controlling could you deter what level it was? Not handicapping, just stupid on EA's part for not making a bigger gap between 50 rated players and 80's.

I mean in 13, I lost 1 in about 45 games with Ronaldo - Ibra - Robben up front. If there was a handicap that just wouldn't of been allowed to happen..

I don't mean a handicap as in you will lose, but it will force your players to do stupid passes, defence to split like it normally wouldn't, bringing the ball down for there players and the rebounds than often go to the other players. It's a game so surely it has to have some Form of scripting?

I think with any team that stuff happens....that's FIFA for you.

I played with a low rated gold on 13 and I just had games when things just happened like that, I don't really think much into it anymore.

LOL, I think that's down to noticing it more when you're using good players, for example kompany and vidic in defense, they make a mistake you instantly blame handicap as you think they shouldn't do that, whereas 2 supposedly crap lower rated CB's do that you just ignore it and blame it on their poor rating.

Seriously?

Yes of course ;)

There is that but it's the way the ball always seems to drop to there players, and when gk will palm it out. Also how about midgets winning a header when you're hammering to head it and your player doesn't even jump? Surely if you're pushing the button then he should jump? It's just little things like that, that make it feel some what scripted.

Heading has a lot to do with timing of when you press the button, I haven't had too many problems defending crosses, it is slightly OP but I wouldn't say it's a handicap as anyone can spam crosses some just do it better than others.

I believe this is the image that was mentioned earlier that allegedly shows some form of momentum shifting.

But surely he should at least make an effort to jump? If not it's pointless pushing a button? So is momentum not something that's scripted either? I believe it shouldn't have anything like that in the game. Everything should be based on skill. Didn't EA admit it was on the world cup game but then claimed it was removed from later games?

Ever watched football where a defender hasn't jumped for a header when they should have? Seriously if it was just as simple as I press this he must and does do this the game would be boring. Momentum isn't scripting as it applies to both sides by upping the intensity of the game, based on what happens in real world games, based on the score at different points in a match, it isn't perfect but it's better than having 1 constant pace to a game which would be completely unrealistic in all matches.

Uh real life and a game is different. You're controlling the player. It should respond to what you push, if not then surely it's the computer deciding that your player shouldn't jump then? Scripting no? Old pro evos and fifa played fine with this momentum in. No game has ever had one constant pace. It's normally down to the skill of the player and not the game deciding who should have the momentum.

So you think the game should be as simple as press a button the player 100% does what you want him to?

If I push a direction and a button, what else should he do?

Should he not make an effort to at least head the ball? Why have buttons if the game decides when you'll get a reaction from the player? Why can I do the same thing and at others times he will try to header it?

You're making it sound like your players are making mistakes more often than doing what you want them to do.
