Guys, can we drop the scripting arguments now please? No one is going to convince the other side either way, and it's just producing bad feelings now.
 
Lol, 2-2 in 2nd half stoppage time, he tries a 40yd lobbed through ball which my keeper is going to gather easily. My keeper decides to jump on it outside the box, gives him a freekick from 18 yards which he lays off to Hamsik and obviously scores.

Caved and bought it for the 360 :( lol first game disconnected from servers 1-0 and get DNF second game i had 28 shots 19 on target and only won 3 - 0 third game went differently and won 5-1 - ultimate team by the way.

Handicap only comes into play when the opposing team is a different star rating.

Therefore since you had that team towards the end of fifa 13 I'm assuming most people would have had 5 star teams by then, therefore no handicap.

Handicap won't turn a good player into a crap one, just the same it won't turn a crap player into an amazing one.

What it does is give you an advantage. So it's easier to win, it's like playing with a man up in real life. It's easier for the team with more men to win but even then you would expect bayern Munich to beat Portsmouth with 10 against 11.

If two equal player's played each other and one used a 5 star team and the other a 4.5 star, I'm betting the 4.5 star team would win maybe 8 or 9 times out of ten.

Scripting is basically the whole rubber band effect which means that the losing team gets a boost. The more your losing the bigger boost you get, like a rubber band the more one team pulls away from the other the harder the game tries to equalise it all out.


Basically if your crap at the game handicap won't automatically make sure you win by using a lower rated team.

Take a good player and use a lower rated team and it's like stealing candy from a baby, until you come up against a pro player

Can't say I've noticed that with my team, when I hammer people it seems to get easier to score more and more goals not harder.

It depends on the player again, they may switch to ultra attacking making them more vulnerable, therefore easier for you to score more as they try to force things.

Or they could be crap and even with the boost still suck.

I can feel momentum change as soon as you go 2-0 up, you then have to try a lot harder than normal to stop them from scoring.

It's in the game to help people that are crap, but what it ends up doing is in an even game allow the player who is losing genuinely to win using the unfair advantage of rubber banding.

So many times I have went 2-0 up then resorted to keeping the ball a lot more to prevent them from coming back into it.

Again the effects aren't noticeable on a 4.5 star team as much as it is on a 5 star team.

Upgrade your team and you will see it more.
 
Not sure why, but I'm tempted...always liked the look of the Cameroon CB's in '13 and never got round to trying, and now M'Bia is a CM/CDM, I'm happy!!

After pack binging I have managed to amass more contracts/fitness cards/chem cards then I could use. Decided to sell on the majority of them and made 300k.

Bought Xavi and David Silva.

Next gen version can't come soon enough.. the more I read about how much better it is the more I just want to play it to see. This gen fifa is still funky at times.

I hate it when you're the last man chasing down an over the top through ball, and instead of controlling the ball you nudge it forward so the opposing teams striker can latch onto it. Anyone else have this happen? I feel a lot of time its the games fault I lose and not mine.

After not been able to play the game yet I have done the next best thing read your views on here and guessed at a team which might work?! Thoughts opinions?

I would change the Serie A 4231 to 4222 (worked better for me personally) and put Di Natale to ST and try Palacio at CAM.

For me, Micah Richards at RB but other than looks good.
