Im quite confused................

The game isn't out so how are you guys on Ultimate team already? I did notice Ultimate team available on the demo but never tried it as i thought it was'nt the real thing but judging by a lot of comments on here its an early start :(

Yea its pretty sad really. Plus anyone with any kind of good trade tactic is extremely unlikely to share and even if they are on different consoles who's to say someone else isn't already using it.

Its pretty simple, pick a player/kit/contract/stadium/football whatever, pick 1 or 2 (if you have the coins) check out their average price. Say your selected player sells on average for 600 coins you go on a hunt and place bids or BO's for 500 or less. Once purchased you then sell for 600 coins = ~100coins or more profit and just carry on and on and on.

There is no magic trick it simply takes time ! unless you get extremely lucky and pick up like a Messi for 5k or something stupid like that. Otherwise general trading it just takes time. You are not going to make a crap load of coins by magic within like 1 hour.

Contracts I've always found a good starting point.

Now if anyone ask's again about trading tips I'm just going to quote this post again lol.

That people with experience of the pre-release market will know more about this and therefore be able to offer advice, whereas to those without that experience it is rocket science ;)

The biggest problem is competition though. Why would someone who has the experience tell someone else that "profitable" player name that they currently use to make coins ? It means you have more compete against even more people when it comes to trying to buy X Y Z player cheaper to sell on for a profit.

When I started playing UT in 12 I had no clue. No one told me who to trade or how to trade. I had to learn how to do it and realistically it is not that hard to do. If I can learn how to trade so can everyone else !

That's not what I was arguing, I was merely arguing that it's not entirely common sense, and does require some experience.

(But any tips are appreciated ;))

The only advice I can give is to pick a player in a league you're familiar with, someone who you know will be popular but not overly expensive. Watch his price for a while and see what he goes for on average, then just buy all the cards of his you can for below the average price. Put them back up again for a bit more than you paid for, and hope they sell. I tend not to do too much trading myself as to make a lot of coins from it I think you need to put a fair bit of time into it, but that's how I'd do it.

You have to be careful with trading, you can end up spending more time on the market than just actually enjoying the game, sure having coins and good players is nice but I don't think it's worth spending hours everyday like you have to if you want to make serious trade profit.

Agreed, but I'd rather do that than sink a load of money into it. In FUT 12 I think my trading states ended up being about -400k, so I'd rather do a little better this time around!

I'm hoping to have 30 or 40k to spend by the time the game is released so I can get myself a decent team to start with, rather than spending the first couple of months grubbing around with Gareth Barry like I did last time (when I eventually got lucky and pulled an IF Di Natale!)...

If you buy IF players as soon as they're released this will affect your trade profits as well if you usually sell them later as their price often drops a lot.

I only bought two or three IFs, I was just very impatient - if I needed a player I bought them, and when I wanted them gone I just flogged them. Didn't really ever both trying to make a profit.

That said some IF's do go up over time. I bought a couple of Miccoli's IF's paid about 60k for them at his release. Later down the line I sold them for ~150k a card :D
