If you have Ronaldo in your team (or just, an amazing/considerably better than opponents team) then people will try really hard to beat you. That's pretty much guaranteed imo.

Or, in my case, if you used Esswein in 13.

you can buy 99 contract cards on the market for cheap.

you can also get them from the catalogue using "bronze" coins which you gain by playing the game

Got a couple of teams set up now and doing pretty well so far. Really loving it this year. Although learning to use the PS3 controller this year is the biggest challenge.

A few obvious upgrades, but it's working really well. The Ba-Cisse partnership is pretty decent despite them being fairly slow.

Well there we have it, seems legit based on your evidence of asking every person who plays Fifa is they try harder against higher rated team....O WAIT...

Deffo. I've come across 2 players with Ronaldo in their team, immediately I think right I'm going to waste this guy ! and I try a lot harder to beat him. I also think a bit tactically and isolate Ronaldo just do not let him get the ball or anywhere near the goal even if it means slide tackling him down and getting a booking

Yes, a whole of 2 people out of the millions of people that play the game. Plus do you really think me and sunny are the only people who think there is some sort of handicapping?

I think when someone has Ronaldo (especially if the rest of the team is average) they seem to just try to play everything to him. If you can lock Ronaldo down the game becomes easy because the other guy never seems to have a plan B.

If there is a handicap then it's completely ridiculous. Makes taking time trying to get the best players completely pointless unless you're amazing at the game.

I've got Ronaldo and one of the reasons I've lost a couple of games is just because I try and do too much with him, try and do crazy skill runs to beat people and score awesome goals. I forget that just because Ronaldo can skill, it doesn't mean I can

But yeah I've noticed people go very defensive when they play my team and it can be hard to break down. He's still bloody brilliant though, scoring an average of 1.5 goals per game.

Maybe the difference in quality between a bronze and a gold isn't what people expect...EA have clearly made Bronze's to a level that if you didn't know what player you were controlling could you deter what level it was? Not handicapping, just stupid on EA's part for not making a bigger gap between 50 rated players and 80's.

I mean in 13, I lost 1 in about 45 games with Ronaldo - Ibra - Robben up front. If there was a handicap that just wouldn't of been allowed to happen..
