FIFA 15

Played 5 div1 games today, winning 1, losing 4 badly....

The worst team I've played against consisted of a 3421 with Reus , Ribery, Robben, Lewandowski etc etc. The rest were basically Bale/ronaldo/messi etc.

Two of the games had Ronaldo + Messi as ST's and when they had the ball running, they were still picking up speed ahead of chielini etc chasing. I don't mean knocking the ball ahead but just simply running with the ball. Ronaldo as an ST seems absolutely unplayably good!

At least if div1 is absolutely covered in these sort of players...you'd think scripting perhaps doesn't exist atm ?

Also , people are catching on to something quite HORRIFIC, which is this corner tactic where you play it short, then cross it to the near post, and the guy wins an easy header into the near post. I've had it done to me about 3 or 4 times today and maybe 5 times yesterday, causing a certain goal every single time

On a positive note, since the patch I havent seen a single "meh" goalkeeper moment yet. Anyone else noticed anything? Maybe they are fixed? :D

I do the short corner, then triple tap cross, scored a fair few goals but not every time by a long shot.

Really? I've found Reus amazing. I'm going to try Ribery just because... I can. I thought Reus would be Robben on the left wing. He's a different player though, handles differently for me. Once you get the hang of him his dribbling and shooting are amazing.

Up to the lofty heights of Div 5 now. Won 6 and drew 1 last night. Even the draw should have been a win. The guys Gio D.S was like Ibrahimovic up top. I couldn't shake him off the ball with Chiellini or Barzagli.

Oh and had the funniest game last night. Was the last one I played. Couldn't possibly beat this game so stopped straight away.

The guy completely went. He lost his head. I dread to think what he did to his room afterwards. He was sprint sliding every time he took control of a player, except his slide tackles were missing by about 20 yards. Was hilarious. I didn't even have to beat him. Just waited for the player to start charging then use R2 to stop and carry on. I scored one with Robben where I 'dodged' 6 seething slide tackles. Rainbow'd his keeper then cut it back for Lewandowski for maximum rage.

rusty I played someone last night with Gio D S all he did was those fake shot R2 turns - just hung of him and won him 2 1

It was a pain getting ball of him and just needed to be patient and wait...

This guy didn't even attempt fake shots or anything. He ran in straight lines with occasional diagonal jags. I'm more annoyed with myself that I didn't slide him as I thought I'd be able to just swat him away as he's a midget.

I swear everyone out paces my defense, lobbed through balls and away they go... My players Doumbia, Sturridge, Aguerro never out run anyone :/

I'm buying Welbeck to play aside of Aguero. Costa step aside.

Edit bought Mertens as Serie A CAM trying Naingolan at at CM instead of Pogba and bought Caceras for 352. Will see how that plays

It's not really about pure 'pace'. You either need to use the pace by releasing the ball at the right time or beat somebody with dribbling. Both situations are when pace is most effective. With my Robben unless I've got a slow LB against him I generally just double bluff him and dink in a couple of inswinging crosses early on. It makes beating his LB easier because he's never quite sure where you're going to go. Once you're past a player with a pacey attacker you won't be caught.

really annoying people who just constantly do that fake**** L2 skill move constantly - you cant get the ball off them and have to wait

should be limited how many skillmoves u can string together

So hold L2 and do some dribbling and the second you're past them then hold down sprint? Some people push the ball miles in front of them and I can never catch them :(

Not sure if 41212 is the right formation for me. I'm in Div 5 but think I'm going to get relegated, 1 more game and I need 1 more win to stay.

No just wiggle the left stick to dribble past them :p. It's difficult to beat players without any skill moves though but it's definitely possible. It's probably worth getting the hang of dribbling before chaining in skill moves.

Yeah that's the right stick knock on. Means they are running at pure sprint speed rather than the slower with the ball version.

No it really shouldn't be limited. Dribbling with skill moves is one of the only ways to actually be skilful at the game. Sure you can be good and extremely effective by playing other ways but dribbling and skill moves require the right timing, input and body shape of the defender to really become effective. It's not something you can really spam out and eventually score (like over the tops and crossing last year).
