FIFA 15

Most bizarre game ever . 3-0 up within 30 minutes and dominating. Twice in less than a minute Miranda runs into an opposition attacker ( by the ai , not me ) makes no tackle but the striker goes down and he gets a booked both times so is off.

I catch a guys shirt with Ramos right after and get booked. Then I foul again accidentally and he is off.
Now it goes mad... I kid you not this just happened , I get in the opposition box with Neymar and pull a skill the guy fouls me THE REF GIVES ADVANTAGE !?!?!? Neymar goes down and messi hits the post and the ball goes out for a goal kick. He then books the defender and we watch the replay of him crunching Neymar on the penalty spot.

Even the dude I was playing couldn't believe it. I hope it was a one of bug. Advantage in the box ?!?!?
I end up only drawing 3-3 after losing two players in the first half. Unbelievable chain of events , I should be mad but it was hilarious. Really was "one of those games ". The foul in the box for advantage was just incredible haha

There's a code that makes one team feel normal and one feel bad you can win through the bad if you're extremely skilled though

Right and going by your logic how exactly do they code to decide what team feels normal? And how do they code to decide who wins and what logic is there behind that decision? Unless you think there's a human being sat behind a desk pressing A or B to decide who wins what you describe is not possible.

Even assuming there is some kind of scripting mechanism it has to be based on logic to be coded. You can't have code arbitrarily deciding what what to do - it needs logic behind it to function.

So basically it doesn't exist in the manner you describe :p

You can get advantage in the box in real football too. It's a rule actually. It's quite rare because most of the time a foul in the box results in no advantage because either the attacker is cleaned out 1v1 or a covering defender mops the loose ball up. My understanding is that once you've taken a shot that is the advantage used.

If you want the penalty then just press RT/R2 to stop and the ref should blow up for it.

Didn't EA make a big song and dance about coding in extra morale effects this year? So it does happen where one team gets on top and seems to have things go their way.

I think anyone that has played enough Fifa knows what C64 is trying to describe. Momentum / scripting are such loaded terms but there are clearly games when your players can do no wrong, you can't be tackled, you outpace people for fun and, by the same token, games where your players can't pass 5 yards, can't tackle for toffee and, extremely annoyingly, almost refuse to make any runs.

It also does seem to change occasionally in the middle of games. You can be 4-0 down in 30 minutes then win 6 or 7-4 just because things start to go your way.

It's annoying because it feels like it limits how much you actually have a say in the result of the game. It is obviously still possible to win even with your players playing poorly (see Rusty / Andy's records) but it is bloody difficult when your players are on a 'down' and your opponent is reasonably competent.

Meh.

The only games I have trouble with are those with a noticeable delay, player response is terrible, tackling out of sync, passing out of sync. Luckily I haven't had games like last year where it would stutter the whole game and take about 30 mins for 1 match, they've either fixed it or I'm just lucky.

So it has been payday... I still need to build the Cavani and Tevez team so I'm going to buy some coins... Then I think I might build that super sweaty Doumbia team...

Or...

I sell up, Get Abayayamanga guy who had the IF and has 95 pace as a ST and pair him with Doumbia, get Robben too... Or get Reus and Robben and have them as forwards... or Robben and Ribery as forwards? Who knows!

Dem third world problems.

edit: we need another game soon the last couple were horrific and I could have quite easily lost them both on another day.

On Xbox you used to be able to buy cheap Fifa points through the Indian store by changing your Xbox region.

You seem to be on PSN so ignore :p

I've hit a bad patch. Losing a lot of games and things just don't seem to be going my way. Been playing 41212 and found it wasn't defensive enough for my style of play. So switched to 4222.

Bally is a beast, best attribute is his curled shots. Can slot a lot of chances others would miss away.

I've been relegated for the first time :(

Agreed but I dispute the fact that games are pre-determined from the off. But momentum is 100% in the engine which isn't a problem per se but the fact it's not explained is. You can - like you say - 'feel' it when the game switches.

Unfortunately for me I nearly always take the lead which results in me being cancered at various points in the game while EA try to help my opponent back into it. It's always amusing to go 2 or 3 nil down and then if you aren't absolutely seething, laughing at how easy the game suddenly becomes.
