No they pick from the list of defenders and the top 4 get in irrespective of position. There were two RBs last year...

Well it should really because that way you would have a choice of 2-3 people (realistically) for 2 positions.

I don't agree with David Luiz being in the TOTY but not based on his position. This year the other positions worked out OK because they naturally slotted in but last year would you not have had Zlatan in just because he plays the same position as Messi where there is only one 'slot'?

He was injured a lot towards the back end of the 13/14 season and then had a shocking World Cup. He should be up there, but I dont think he should be dislodging Messi, Ronaldo or Robben.
 
I wonder if Simeones behaviour affected his chances of winning awards. We know how great he is but we also know he can lose the plot at any given time.

I wouldn't say "not fashionable enough" But aside from Godin, who has had a great year, maybe hampered a bit by the World Cup, although after Brazil's WC defending, Luiz should NOT be in, but the point is Atheltico just seem to be a solid unit, with no real standouts, and no massive weaknesses (Well, they bought Torres...)

They're the perfect stealth winners, which is exactly what they did last year, just quietly existing, racking up win after win.
 
So...has anyone bought any packs or TOTY cards ?

I am really tempted but holding off until players drop in price a bit yet.

I take it the GK and Defender cards keep dropping even once we are onto midfielders and attackers yeah ?
 
Just played a team of TOTY Ramos/Luiz/Silva, IF Matuida, IF Rakitic, Ronaldo, Bale, IF Griezman, brought Messi on as a sub..........I should have bought more coins. :p

So annoying, all they did was lump it up to Ronaldo/Bale/Messi, terrible player. Defence was insane with all that pace.

Battered them but just could not score, lucky lump to Messi got me. :(

Hah that is some lineup ! I always find i perform better against uber teams , i think the "try hard" perk gets unlocked when you see those teams !:D
 
So why would I buy a pack of 12 players for 25k over a 24 item pack for 15k? Is it that the 3 rare are all players that's the kicker, as opposed to 6 rare contract cards.

Yep, you are guaranteed 3 rare players every pack. The other pack you may get none or loads, its a gamble
