FIFA 15

The card is just a way of saying you 'own' that player and can use him. You then set up teams with your cards and play normal games of FIFA like you would if you set up a game of Man Utd vs Arsenal. Yes, that includes playing with friends.

If you have say Van Persie, is that mean no one else in the world has him? Or are there like thousands of Van Persies out there in the wild.

Back up to 90k , playing very poorly though , under an hour left on my trial so will maybe get one more match then just a waiting game until the weekend!

I've spent a good hour or so trying to play the market, I've ended up with 7 Distin, 5 Bebe, 2 Salah, and a few others. Currently 25k down. haha. Doubt I'll make much on them either. This is doing my head in. If I get the prices I want I might make 4-5k, but it's a hell of a lot of effort!

the only guaranteed way to make coins is by buying IF's that are in demand when their price bottoms out

IF's cost big money usually, especially when your talking about buying multiples of them.

e.g. Buy IF Melo last year for 25K, 3 months later he was worth 200K or something stupid as he got a UP which made his IF become a UP IF. That was like a 150K+ profit on each IF melo people bought.

Basically spend £50 on packs, hope you get 500K+ worth of coins and then start buying IF's that are in demand and if they look likely to get a 2nd IF when your holding onto them, sell them ASAP.

e.g. IF Costa atm is a sound investment, but if he scores a hat trick in 3 weeks time, it's time to sell up as he will get a 2nd IF which will make his first IF drop. But if he doesn't his price will continue to rise the longer you hold onto him.

IF Costa's price if he doesn't get another IF will be like 750K in 6 months time, because he is in the first TOTW (very rare usually) possibly even higher because he's Spanish and plays for Chelsea (premiership links) teams which are both popular in UT and he hybrids well with say Fabregas.

Anyone know if I order from Tesco now I'll get it in on Friday?

nobody on the planet could tell you that, well they could but they would be making it up.

if your desperate to have it friday buy it at midnight from your local supermarket or friday morning from your local supermarket.

otherwise just wait for delivery or buy from a certain jungle and select next day delivery which you will have to pay a premium for unless your already paying for their £70 a year prime service

There will eventually be loads of him around. There are only a limited number of players after all.

To get cards (i.e. players) you can either buy them on the auction house with coins or open packs with coins or real money. You obtain coins from playing matches, selling the things you've got from opening packs or mastering the transfer market (buying low, selling high).

The problem in FIFA 14 was that any moderately high rated player was largely out of reach for people who JUST played the game (i.e. didn't buy packs or play the transfer market). It would take forever to save up the coins to buy Bale for example just by playing games. Opening packs with your coins would largely result in wasting those coins as you would rarely get anything good out of them. Hopefully this year is different but I seriously doubt it.

A decent player can make around 15-20K every 10 matches or so (division 1 bonus). A really really good player can make 20K+ every 10 matches. Good player about 10K every 10 matches. A crap player about 5-7K every 10 matches. (all info based on roughly what last years bonuses were for playing seasons).

A match lasts 20 minutes in real time and costs you coins to play (11 contracts minimum and 14 contracts maximum) which is around 200-250 coins.

If you can get to division one and stay in division one (survive relegation) your looking at just over 1K per match played. That's roughly 3000 coins per hour.

Messi cost 1.5 million coins last year.

To buy messi last year without buying packs would mean being good at the game and playing for 500 hours, which is roughly 21 days non stop.

That's you just buying 1 player, forget getting a team with Messi, Ronaldo and Bale in it from just earning coins.

If your crap at the game then forget it completely. Therefore people end up just spending money on packs to buy players.

You could however just play the normal game mode and just play as Real Madrid (what everyone normally does anyway that doesn't play UT). That way you get to use all the top players in a team and it doesn't cost you a penny or take you 3 months non stop playing fifa online every second of the day.

so to get Bale/Ronny/Messi I could either

! - play like an idiot non-stop for 3 months (i do need to sleep) for 1 player. To get all 3, that's like 9 months !

2 - Spend a fortune and buy them in in-game auction...eh no, I try not to spend real money on games after just buying a game

3 - pot luck....

Think picking RM or Barcelona and then practice, practice and practice to beat the other person would be better? Probably more satisfying beating your mate with Hull City against his UT with all these superstars?

You don't need the top players to play well at all.

There are normally so many bargain players for absolute pennies who are very overpowered.

Infact, if anything, if you have really highly rated players you seem to get "scripted" against and end up more likely to lose games.

Only probably <0.5% of the FUT playerbase have very expensive teams tbh. If you just play gradually and build up...you will have a solid team within days/weeks, then in a couple of months, you'll have players like aguero/reus/lewandowski etc, just through playing in your spare time.

Personally i think it does make a lot of sense to chuck £32 or maybe even £64 at packs at the start if you believe you will play it all year round and the money won't be missed, but after that I think its fine to just let the coins build up from playing and invest wisely as the coins gather.

I think on release day I will probably chuck £64 at the packs, the game cost me £42, which i'll likely sell 6 weeks before the new one is out and get £20 back like the last two years. So in total if i spend £86 and play it for maybe 46 weeks of the year, then its actually costing me under £2 a week. If the game is actually good this year and doesn't have any massive issues with headers, then I feel its a damn bargain really! Fifa 14 was crap because of the crosses/headers but on Fifa 13 I must have played 2000 games. I'm really hoping fifa 15 is good :D as i've really missed having a decent football game to play last year.

Vargas 8 goals in 4 for me so far. Nearly got excited when I saw an Eto'o for under the 5k buy now max I set then realised he's been nerfed to 74 pace or something.

Okazaki feels very overpowered out of the players I've used thus far in FUT. Waltzed through Chiellini with him earlier and he scored 5 in 4 before I rage sold the team. Players on PC seem stupidly overpriced at the moment though I did manage to get Van Rhijn for about 300 coins.

Probably only get worse when the inevitable trainer appears that allows people to win every game before it even starts.

Russians, not even once.
