Silva was banned. Luiz may as well have scored 3 himself, he was that bad.

Brazil completely imploded as opposed to Germany being that special (they were good mind) and Silva was also suspended for that game. Don't forget they drew with Ghana, needed ET against Algeria and won 2 of the other 3 knockout games 1-0, with the final won in ET against an Argentina team that bar Messi was incredibly average.

Germany were good, and I think they deserved to win the WC, but it has nothing on what Atletico achieved with the team they had in comparison to their nearest rivals. They also won the Supercopa against Madrid in August.

It does frustrate me though how BPL rarely ever get in TOTY considering its the toughest league in the world.
