So the love affair is ending with this game then?

I see more and more people realising 'momentum/whatever we want to call it' existing in this game now (Andy still needs convicning I see).

It's also laughable how people are hating the fact you can't buy coins any more from eBay, that's totally against the point of the game and I am 100% with EA on that, yes it's infuriating getting rubbish from your packs but to me that's just the nature of the game, it's just sheer luck.

I'm not a fan of the mode in all honesty, my son enjoys it but it just seems like your players constantly get injured forcing you to swap them out/buy consumables to repair your robots.
 
Players shouldn't get injured too often such as every game for example. They will of course if you let their fitness get low which is why it's a good idea to replenish them after a game or use another team the next game with the low fitness players on the bench so their fitness is replenished. Of course injuries will still happen but shouldn't be too much of a botheration, just have healing cards at the ready.

Also one thing I've noticed is not so much players breaking but the game matchmaking means you get matched with players in lower divisions sometimes and also the opposite. Not sure how this works but it kind of defeats the purpose of having divisions in the first place so I think you should only be matched with people in the same division as you.

Convincing yeah, if there is emotional intelligence like chanjy says fair enough but there just isn't enough evidence to convince me the game is out to get you and that's the reason people lose. If it was the case I would certainly see it in the all the games I play!

Not really, I enjoy FIFA, I don't get on as much now due to work/kids and all that jazz but I'll always go back to the game over others.

I've moved the PS4 into my man cave, I just need a cheap PSN sub and I'll play people on here despite being woeful the the controller.
 
Also I get a lot of rage messages from other players, never am I accused of having momentum in my favour.

Momentum 100% exists. It's blindingly obvious to anyone who plays the game. Where I think it's overstated is when people say the game refuses to let them win. I don't think it goes anywhere near as far as that but it does introduce unnatural swings in the play where your players can't do anything.

I think I've played enough fifa to not get anxious over conceding goals so can knock that idea on the head. :p
 
I remember the uproar of it in 09 (I think) the last Fifa game I played a lot of.

It doesn't refuse to let you win, but there are times when your players seemingly can't pass the ball two feet in front of them and run through mud everywhere, yet your opponent blasts past you and you have no chance.

People say it's realistic, yes it is, but it should not be in a video game and be something you have no control over! It happened to me in games using people like Barca/United/Madrid, the players were useless and almost like a 3* team.
 
how you getting hate messages on ps4 - you cant see recent players on it....

I think this is lag/connection related rather than momentum.... Im often getting it and it spoils the game

Go back, make a new account and start again, i've done it twice his week on other accounts while I wait for legends to drop in price. I was a bit lucky as each account had all the free packs from the fut 6 bday, but see how hard it is, contracts and injuries cause big problems, and your lucky if you don't have to play a ton of games with people in wrong positions. The free packs gave me 11 goalkeepers but not one RM player.

As I made a post in reference to it being near impossible some games to do skills as opposed to others where you carry them out so easy its like pressing one button.

Momentum is about why my my Lacazette fails all match to out run Terry even when I have a 10 yard head start, ive had games against me where he out does TOTY Luiz and Silva yet cant beat Terry...

Its your player failing to control the ball non stop, taking 3-4 touches when they normally take one and making that simple pass your three year old could make and simply messing it up most of the game, and then you shoot and shoot and shoot over, wide non stop

Talking about the same thing....

Players not controlling ball
Players not passing correctly
Players moving slowly
Poor turning cirlces
Basically gameplay acting weirdly...

Is this related to game / momentum / lag - who knows

Some people may think that its one thing or the other....
