I have Standard Ronaldo ( did have IF at one stage ) and 95 ( Record Breaker ) Messi.

Messi is small, quick and very nimble , a great little close quarter dribbler with a good finish in the box , especially with finnesse i find.
He is a bit litte for aerial balls ( obviously ) and perhaps slightly weak around big defenders.

Ronald is fast , stronger and more skills. Good in the air and has the ability to score from range much more often than Messi.

I find if you are the through ball all the time type of player then Ronaldo is miles ahead for wrestling through and burning with pace .

If you like the ball into feet and close-quarter dribbling through 2 or 3 defenders possibly then i think Messi wins hands down.

P.S Sometimes i sub on ibarbo with under 30 mins left and his goals to game ratio makes them both look turd lol !
 
I can't get the hang of longshots at all - I've scored a few from 30 odd yards but nothing compared to what JT Judgement etc. manage with right footers on the right, about in line with the edge of the box, where they can ping them in seemingly at will into the far corner.

Cheers for that Titchy - the thing I love about Messi is not just his pace and finishing but his passing is absolutely incredible too, it's so easy to feed Bale / Neymar with him.
 
No prob matey. Yeah messi is very good all round. I often drop him to midfield when I bring on ibarbo and he is really good running from deep and playing through balls.
 
Right I have so had enough today I do not know what is going on but my players have slowed right down so much so I thought my controller was broken, they are just not sprinting fast at all, I have tried two accounts today and its the same on both and how the hell do you stop your players shooting directly at the keeper shot after shot?
 
I find shooting annoyingly temperemental in this game, even after 600 games in UT, probably 80 games in Seasons and 100 or so in Clubs, I still haven't figured out when to go near post, far post, finesse, power etc.

It seems to change from game to game, I tried semi-assisted and scored 4 great goals on match 1, the ball went exactly where I wanted it, match 2, wide, wide, wide, wide, wide or over, think I need a few days off the game, went 29 games undefeated earlier in the week on a new account, have been messing around in different divisions on other accounts and am getting taken apart.
 
I raved about the power shot when I first discovered it but have come to realise it's a bit gimmicky and not particularly useful - it seems to ruin the accuracy of shots.
 
Yeah it is very much a trade off. You can have power or accuracy. I still rather the finesse with Modric or Rodriguez etc from just outside the box.
 
Anyone used TOTY Ramos?

90PHY, worried he might give a lot of peno's away. (You know, when players bounce off your defender and get a peno for nothing)
 
He's silly money though. I've used the TOTY Silva and he was no different as the normal card is already so good. The TOTY Luiz is very good and cheap if you are wanting to play around with defenders. My favourite CB pairing this year is TOTY Luiz - Silva and it makes chem really easy for the rest of the team.
 
I did have Toty silva , toty Luiz and toty Ramos.

I have sold silva and luiz but kept Ramos. Tbh his normal card is good and I don't feel a huge difference. Of the three toty luiz was my favourite but I used to sub him on into midfield and he smashed people there.
 
Worst player I have right now for giving away fouls for nothing is SIF Godin. He is solid but he an animal. If I'm defending a lead in a tight game now I switch to 433(3) and sub on pogba and IF Melo. They are beasts in the two CDM slots.
