FIFA 15

I would argue it's not really pay2win as much as paying to have more fun, I certainly have more fun with Hazard, Neymar, Messi etc. but, in terms of results, probably do better with Ibarbo / Doumbia / Gervinho in an Italian team that might cost 20k total.

The problem with buying coins direcly from EA is, I imagine, they would make them so ****ing expensive it would take the ****, like packs at the moment.

Just got relegated from division 3 after leading 4 of the games 2-0 with 10 minutes left to play. My players turned in to absolute clowns and started missing balls, tackles and clearances and as soon as you park the bus the 40 yard long shots start going in instead

Last game was a 2-3 loss, 79% possession, 23 shots, 17 on goal vs 2 shots yet he got 3 goals :(

And this is why I've stopped playing FUT completely - when the game wants you to lose, you lose.

Well. that and the fact that I spent some money of points/packs when I first got the game and when I came back to try it again, all of my players were worth less than half what I'd paid for them (and some a LOT less than that!)

Basically EA's change to the market values half way through the season has completely ****** me over!

Same. My main account had about 2 million pounds worth of players to sell which I had traded legit but the price ranges killed that for me. Bought a ton of coins since and basically written off that account and started fresh on another with a 79 rated team, no coins and no points but it's hard as ****!

This pretty much sums it up !

No doubt the game affects players unfairly sometimes ( emotional blah blah they call it ) and it is very annoying , my team cost me a lot in fifa points and when it stops players like ronaldo sprinting , passing and even controlling the ball it is infuriating.

Sometimes you can play through it , other times you just know you will end up conceding sooner or later

That's a good point, since I haven't had any of the best players because I can't afford any I can't really comment on that front.

Perhaps EA would see the light an bed nice? Yeah I know that's not going to happen.

PES anyone? :D

I think you need to work to get the players you want which is the whole point of UT and what EA are trying to achieve. If you want to use messi n co then by all means go ahead and play normal seasons :p

Being able to buy coins just defeats the purpose of UT which is why a crackdown is happening and whether people like it or not it's to make it fairer for everyone but the way they're going about it (greed) has meant it has backfired.

EA love making money from points but people won't buy points like they did coins so I'm afraid to say UT and FIFA as a series will only go downhill from here.

Atm the prices are still too high a max limit of 100k for example is what I would go with or maybe more otherwise trading may become null. This means players are affordable without having to buy coins meaning they won't lose every coin player :p

Like you said a business decision that has backfired. I wonder if it'll backfire hard enough for people to switch to PES...

A max limit of 100k wouldn't work, how are legends, really good IF's, TOTS and TOTY players going to fit into that.

It was just an example and I did say "maybe more" ;) I don't see how any of those players are going to work anyway if you can only afford them through buying points then a pack.. we can say bye bye to IF teams next year

The top players aren't meant for the majority :)

yet coins were? ;) bit of a conflicting view

This is another important point. Everyone should aspire to own a Ronaldo or Messi but they are end-game players and should be extremely difficult to acquire.

And this is what I support if you put the effort in and are good enough then you should be able to afford the good players.

Yeah coins were for the majority lol, more people bought coins than those who didn't, even if it was a small amount. Plus you were still spending real money.

That's what I support as well, working for the top players but your initial example was way too low for a max cap, some players should still be in the millions.
