If I do end up buying this it'll be on one of the consoles, I bought FIFA 16 on PC and stopped playing it in January it was that awful. FIFA 15 was okay but EA never updated the catalogue on PC so whenever you played an online seasons match with real teams the players would all be wearing the generic EA Sports boots. A minor thing to some but really annoying for me personally.
Other things that I find worse in the PC release are the smaller playerbase, it was harder for me to find games, especially in FUT. If you progress through the divisions in Ultimate Team by the time you get to division 2 it's a struggle to find someone who isn't causing connection problems or who doesn't just leave the game straight away while still giving you the loss for whatever reason. If you forget about the season mode and go through the tournaments instead it's often impossible to find opponents in the latter stages of the cups, especially in bronze, silver, or lower paying cups.
It's all replay footage which is in-engine.

The entire video is made up of 1 or 2 seconds snapshots, with no actual match gameplay.
