I've not touched played fifa in ages now, don't know if I'll even bother when the world Cup mode is out. For me the amount of special cards ruins it a bit, wouldn't bother playing the WL with a normal side anymore as you can guarantee most sides have loads of blue players.

Yeah it’s OTT, loads of players with a stupid number of cards and a plethora of 90+ rated cards that are still crap (in game) compared to the meta icons and TOTY players we’ve had for months now.
Nobody wants to pump money in at this stage as it’s a few months to the next release and summer always sees people playing less.
I think the last time I enjoyed and was still playing around TOTS was back in 13.

This is my current team - my plan was that this would be "final" shape of my team for the rest of FIFA - https://www.futbin.com/18/squad/5389285 - thats just to get Chem, changes to a 4-1-2-1-2 with Son / Mbappe up top in game.
I had a few coins left over, thought I'd do the TOTS SBC's, nothing in the Ligue 1 SBC so I submitted that into the calcio A SBC and I get 97 Dybala - I can't think of a way to rework the team to make him fit. Son is untradable and I love his card so I can't get rid of him, and from what I've seen of the rest of the team I'm really liking it.
I guess Dybala is just going to have to be a super sub.

congrats, what a cracking player to come of the bench he looks excellent.
just gonna grind the online tourney to get packs might throw my 35k that i have in club at it to get a small start. av got 5 minutes remaining and will get to see if its any different to normal fut.
av actually just remembered it took for ever to eventually win the tourney last time bloody stat cards on nearly every opponent.

Keep us updated Ree. I will be doing the same (got a few days off work and the missus is on holiday.). Buy a few packs and grind some games. Who you going to pick as your starter nation? I am going S.A as Neymar has been my fav player this year and hopefully I can pack him.
was lucky enough to get messi in my first few packs last time hope that happens again 
whoever my best player is i'll build round him and let the grind begin, chem is gonna be all over the place in the team for a while but on the plus side i'll try players i wouldn't normally even give a second glance too.

General consensus seems to be it is much slower and more like Fifa 18 when it was first released.
Ok so moving on from being positive about EA...
I’m going to give up with the TOTS sbc’s - BOTH Sunday and Tuesday challenges I’ve got lecomte and de vrij

And then to read you guys are getting the likes of Dybala, Mbappe, and Icardi
Wonder if there is some logic behind it, I’m literally scraping the barrel / trading the bare minimum for these and getting rubbish players.... be interesting to hear what sort of trade squad got you a decent player!
