at a guess i would think the 87 is about as high as it gets, highly doubt they'll reach the quarters. still looks a decent card though.
 
Thoughts on patch after 2 games in Div 4 (1700 rating~):

The timing of timed shots is different now. I could hit perfect timed shots 9/10 times but now I can't. They still seem effective but only in space, so if a defender has closed you down, even a perfect timed shot might go well wide. Need to practice more now they've changed.

Defenders are stronger and win the ball more easily. Attackers can hold on to the ball a bit more easily too if the defender is behind them to start with.

POTM Aubameyang is still amazing and probably the best striker behind R9/CR7, do him if you haven't.

Not a patch for the better:( defending is easier as attackers first touch is often heavier. Neymar and co aren’t as effective as they were. Auto lunges are more common, the attacker doesn’t win the ball back as often instead it just flies off him and goes to another the other teams player instead :p passing seems different as well but that might be just me.

Guess it’s like any other fifa patch at this stage of the game, get used to as they are rarely for the better and more to cater for the casual gamer.

That in div 4 1650 points.
 
I've enjoyed the games I've played since the patch, agree with Jim though they've catered to the casual audience, probably to stop the masses quitting the game before a black Friday pack spree :D
 
Just finished a game 7-4 and saw my first glimpse of kick off goals, he scored a kick off hat-trick with Suarez and had the nerve to message me afterwards saying I got lucky.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not as drastic as last years attempt at a patch. Sure i’ll get used to it. On the plus side my investments are maturing nicely.

Wait till you play it Andy - I was correct last year. No where near as bad as last years patch but it ain’t an enhancement that’s for sure :p

Looking back on a few more games I think the passing/shot animation is slower as well. The one touch shots are definitely a good thing.
 
Seen some pros already comment on the differences, there was quite a lot changed from the patch notes so definitely not placebo, changing certain elements will have secondary effects and therefore won’t be outlined in the notes.
 
The timed finesse shots definitely seem nerfed

Finding it a lot easier to defend but at the same time a lot harder to score! Overall though I’d say it feels better than before the patch

In other news I’ve now won 3/10 Tah rival matches, proving a grind with two Bundesliga teams and not much time to play it

It is a crazy game when some people notice differences and other don’t. I wish I was in the latter camp. :p
