FIFA 19

14-1 and I’m done. This game is terrible :(. I literally can’t bring myself to play anymore and it’s ridiculously easy at the moment. It’s just not fun in any way.

Player switching doesn’t work, 1 on 1’s are still less viable than 25 yard times finesse shots. What a complete and utter mess, if people think the patches are doing anything they’re deluded.

Sure it doesn’t help that I keep playing all my games in one day, obviously a bad idea. Doesn’t change the fact this is a dog **** game.

Yeah every game is hard work. Even when I'm winning 5-0 it is still very frustrating. My main issue at the moment is the player switching, it never selects the player I want even when I'm using the right stick.

You really aren't helping yourself trying to play loads of games in one day, things just snowball and you'll end up unfocused and frustrated (even if you aren't aware of it).

Just play until you lose and then have a break, even if you think you don't need one. 30 games is OK but they should have given us Fri-Mon, 3 days can be tricky.

Finished with 19 wins.

Current team (switching to 4231 in game):

One thing I'd suggest to anyone - learn timed finesse shots. The majority of my goals are from 20-25 yards out, as soon as you get a bit of space, timed finesse to the far corner. The only way to defend it is to move the keeper, which most people won't do, and that doesn't guarantee anything. First time timed finesse shots are even more effective, Hazard is insanely good at them, the amount of curve he gets is just ridiculous. Reus too.

Not had Neymar long but I like him so far, think his price will start rising too. KDB isn't ideal at CDM but is doing the job for now.

That's pretty much what I do, I try to play no more than 3-4 games in a row, a fresh energetic mindset going into the game helps a lot.

I did read some guides but still can't get my head around time shooting.

Do you tap shoot to 'activate' it? Then what?
Or do you tap shoot then keep your finger on it until its the perfect shot? Presumably you can still put as much power into a shot as you like or is that not the idea?

I don't have many issues scoring hence not really fussed learning it!

Got G2 in first weekend league this year, really frustrating as I ended on 16 wins. Last game was 1-1 and I missed a great chance at 90mins and then ended up losing on penalties. Need to massively work on my defending, too many games I go 2/3-0 down and then have to bring it back.

Think about how you would take on low drivens last year - power up your shot to the desired power, then tap shoot again before the ball was struck.

Its almost the same, but timing matters, you want to press it just as / or a tiny bit before the ball is struck.

Turn on the Level 3 / Level 4 trailer which will show you the "progress" bar, it'll help while you attempt to get used to it.

Timing is different for different shots, first time shots the taps have to be in quick sucession. Shots under pressure will be more like snap shots, so again not as much of a gap, but if you have a finesse shot in acres of space the gap is much larger. I don't use them a great deal, but its something you need in your locker.

You power up as normal release then press it again just when they players boot makes contact with the ball.

Edit Beaten to it - I do find it also alters with different players

I've actually stopped using timed shots within the box, I find it messes up my shots more than it helps.
I only use it now if I had time outside the box which is very rare due to how most people play with high pressure.

Right so, I have a few decent wingers(Mane, POTM Lucas etc) that dont fit directly into my 4 2 3 1, can I just use a different formation and then switch to 4231 in game and keep full chem? At the moment I tend to sub on fast players second half when players are getting knackered (which does work pretty well).

I've only ever used outside of the box as I rarely have time inside the box. Has anyone managed a way to ensure you score 1 v 1's consistently ?

I'm finding more luck trying to pass the ball into 6yrd box rather than outside the box :D. For 1v1s I just do normal finesse to the far post.
