FIFA 19

I have to say, only done 3 WL and finished G2 each time. I haven't come across half the stuff people in here do, my connection is always fine, the game play is smooth and without issue. Sure, the odd ball bounce or frustrating deflection but I certainly don't get worked up by it. I didn't concede a single finesse goal this weekend but during the week in Rivals, every single person uses them.

Me finishing G2 is more down to my own lack of patience and inability to defend more than anything else.
 
Kante is a proper bull terrier, don’t know any other player in the game who seems to make up ground like he does, you’d think Makelele would be the better version of him but doesn’t seem to be as effective.
 
Yeah I hate playing against Kante, I feel he's the missing link to my squad. I like to track back with my DMs and Kantes pace and agility is perfect for my style of play and has been on previous iterations.
 
i've got the coins sitting here to get him, hazard and possibly pogba come toty. but that near post thing could be a massive red flag and i was wondering if he doesn't go front post if you dont put an anchor on him and boost his jumping.
 
I loved Kante but the corner thing broke him for me. Think I was using an Anchor on him.

I've upgraded him to Makele now (realise thats not an option for everybody!) - pretty much the same player, but is less of a **** on corners.
 
Not sure where to go right now, fancy trying a higher end icon :

1.3mil to spend, me being me I think of buying icon defenders as boring! Don't use wingers right now but open to trying different formations!

Looked at prime Van Nistleroy & I think middle Van Basten, really not sure who is best avoided etc..? Ah advice/thoughts?

1.3m won't get you a true higher end icon, Van Basten is good if you can work around his lack of outright pace. RvN is 3*/3* which isn't good enough really.

Nedved is very good, so is Best.

Oh no, I'm aware I'm WAY below the top end, but have a fair few tiers, I remember Van Nistleroy tearing holes in me years back, usually play 41212 narrow and would be partnering Immobile or Mertens if I went with one of them or similar.
 
Really like the look of 90 Bergkamp, too!

Got a few players like Casemiro, Kroos, Thiago Silva and a few other 50k+ players, could let a few of them go and see if I could sneak another icon in, keep wanting to ditch Zola and get prime Vieri from the SBC, then he goes and puts in a Zola performance!
 
M/M will be ok on a CB (see Van Dijk etc). Just means he might not track back quite as effectively as you'd like.

The main issue for me is his stamina, it's pretty low. Will leave it for now.
 
Ended up 11-5, quit a couple of games late on against super teams as I couldn't be bothered to grind out an unpleasant game.

Finishing still feels my weakness; I'm more reliable slotting a 20 yard finesse than a little slide under the keeper :(

Again I don’t think he’s worth it, the coins are better spent going towards a tradeable player especially with Futmas around the corner
 
I play fifa casually on my own, I'm not great as I don't really use any skills or anything, I just play for fun. Is there any point of me playing Ultimate Team, especially when I won't be spending any money on it?
