FIFA 19

It's great when you're winning a game and the opposition pauses the game in the 75th minute to make changes only for the ball to never go out of play until the 90th min :D

First game, 2-0 down, Bale then scored 3 superb goals to win 3-2. Solid debut from Guendouzi, seemed all over the shop.

Doing those four Chinese Super League games was the most monotonous, boring time I’ve had on FIFA. I know some enjoy playing against the AI but I couldn’t think of anything worse. I don’t think I’ve played the AI ever since broadband was unleashed. Now I need silver (?) or above for a swap player award. How many games is that in squad battles?!

Sold all my players in midweek apart from Neymar, he is never leaving! To buy CR7. I got him relatively 'cheap' last night whilst market dropped a bit. I'm going to build a Calcio A team, it's going to be pretty weak until I've built up some coins but there are already strong players in there already. Neymar and Ronaldo up front should do me until 20 I'd hope!

FIFA has just gone the way of the COD/Football Manager series, or will do, with it's best days gone and to never return. I always knew 19 would be poor when it's main advertisement of the game was Champions League mode, FIFA 20 will probably be celebrating it has VAR included.

I'm glad I only put a pittance into it and managed to build up a decent team with just playing the game, and despite playing it a lot, I still class myself as a casual gamer so I just can't get that involved in things that happen whilst playing, especially when its going to happen to me and the opposition player. I still don't see the gameplay changes or button lag, but again I just refuse to get myself that embroiled in the detail of the game, maybe it's an age thing.

I was hoping getting Ronaldo would restart some enthusiasm in the game but it's been a disaster, I'm not sure if it's because I had a fairly strong 'meta' team prior and now just your bog standard decent Calcio A team, but it feels woeful and I'm getting hammered. The worst thing Ronaldo's price has further dropped so I'm looking at a massive loss to sell on.

So bored of playing this game at the moment, I have literally no interest in other games so am drawn to this cancer each evening! It doesn't help I was resigned to Rivals all weekend.

I'm also sick of playing 4231, what formation counters it best? I wish I could play with it as that's all I ever get destroyed from!

I also can't get the best out of CR7 and it makes me sad. I haven't even had him score from a corner yet :(

I have no idea how people find it so effective, the striker feels so isolated when I play it. But I appreciate it's all about build up play and keeping the ball, whereas my play is all about getting the ball forward asap. I doubt I can alter my play style seems as it's been that way for 20 years now haha.

Was trawling through the EA forums for some inspiration and came across a 352 thread, I actually like the formation but it's difficult to use so end up binning it after a while, I thought things couldn't be much worse with consistency so I'd give it a shot. This is my current team, everyone is on 10 chem apart from Bale who is on 8.

It's fun to use, it's rare you have a bank of 5 at the back but the wingers do get back, it just depends on how attacking your opposition is. Ronaldo at CAM has brought out the best in him too, just makes great runs, he has 28 in 34 but his record before this formation wasn't great at all.

It's not the formation to use if you're just bothered about winning, it's easily exploited by a good player but it's definitely competitive and you will score a shed load (also conceding a shed load) :D

Had to skimp on some players unfortunately, Neto is meh but needs must.
