Ronaldo is a beast. I’ll never get rid especially for the players you’ve mentioned, centre mids just don’t influence the game unless you have someone like Gullit. Bernardo Silva, Wij could just be NIF in the centre of the park and you’d never know the difference.

He's stupidly overpriced for an 85 rated player but Blanc is so good, probably my favourite CDM that I've used this FIFA.

Is he better than 88 Petit? I need a French icon for the chem - currently have Petit, but if Blanc is comparable I can save ~100k using him instead.

Yes, I had Petit for about 5 games, probably not long enough to really have an opinion but he was completely underwhelming.

Anyone use TOTS Fernandinho, thinking he would be an improvement over Prime Ballack (defensively at least) for CDM.

Just buy 87 Fernandinho to try him, if you really like then buy the TOTS version. I don't think there are enough differences with in form cards despite the stats on paper. I have him, he didn't stand out much if I'm honest. I preferred Kante

I admire anyone who can play so much of a game then have enough will power not to buy the next. What happens when you play WL, raging all weekend? I guess it’s a good thing I can only ever dedicate time to around 15 games

12-3 at the moment, baby Seedorf is great. I wanted the H/H at CM and he's a beast, I need the double link to VVD and don't regret getting shot of Blanc now.

That's interesting to know. When I've been looking at Icons to see if I could make a hybrid league team I looked at 92 Bergkamp in an attacking role and 85 & 88 Seedorf in a more defensive box-2-box type role. Although I'd heard mediocre things about him so had been looking at 86 Rijkaard (although would prefer the 90 version). But from what you've said maybe it's worth me considering Rijkaard again.

I have always come up against the better versions and they've never stood out, hence my reluctance to buy him really but he's a unit.

At 14 wins, just 3 to go and can sack it off.

Ok, I was a bit premature, I did it on the 29th game I was just that much in a spiral that I expected to **** it up. Still, 14-4 to 17-11 is ridiculous. I wasn't playing any mega players, just mega teams with far too much luck.
