Played a few games. Custom animations and his stats are as good as any icon! Great fun.

Obviously the weak foot is the elephant in the room, but in honesty I usually try and shoot with any players strong foot anyway.

I used around half of my good untradeables and he cost me 200k after opening the packs. Can’t really grumble.

Honestly really liking him. He ain't going to dribble past the defensive line but his shooting is sublime. His first touch for me was a weak foot long range goal.
Fun watching him man handle defenders on corners. Knock a few on their arse.

Tried two game games with him in divsion and was a complete shambles. For the first time I got button delay. Players seems to go into fast forward mode and falling over extremely heavy touches. pretty much unplayable. Don't really want to waste my fitness cards now while game is in that state.

Stick SMS in cdm or lw for back post headers.

Put allan as RB over cuadrado with anchor on him.

Which means you need another defensive player to fill the gap if you stick him up top

Depay, de ligt, van dijk plenty of Dutch hybrids on offer especially if you have van aanholt, etc

Current Serie A midfield (4-3-3 with 3 CM's) is

Naingollan - SMS - Mautidi

Think I'm going to bench Mautidi and go for a CAM instead, any recommendations for 130k coins?

Or am I better moving one of the other two up to CAM and then getting a different CM?

And is Skrinier a good upgrade over Manolas?

Play 4231

Allan and SMS as CDM's and Gomez or Hamsik as CAM

I think 2 best cheap defenders are Manolas and Skrinrar

Got 600K to spend who do I buy or use from my selection of players I don't use atm.

I sub on POTM Lucas for Alessandrini but also have Vela but he is a weak link.

i also switch both teams to 4231 in game (the one with LW/RW) and play Foden as CAM

I also play Belotti as LW and Zapata as ST. However I'm thinking of selling Belotti getting UCL Allan and playing Allan as RB and Putting SMS into LW position for back post headers. Or get The new CDM Koilibaly stick him as CB and move Manolas to RB and stick SMS into LW for back post headers.

Played 1 game with FBD SMS and I know it's early but what a presence in midfield! :eek:

This is how I have the team setup now with everyone on full chem at the start. Baresi as an out-and-out CDM and SMS providing the height in midfield. Sanches surprisingly works as a full back with his physical making it easier.
2 CBs provides height and strength. The 2 wide CAMs are not the fast but suits my style more playing it through the middle with quick passes/dribbles before playing it to Sterling/Butra

Well I have never had a player that can finish like this Shearer card. 11 games 24 goals.

Not sure I could recommend him since he's not the meta and the cost but am finding him extremely effective. Also people who skill will hate him. Scoring a lot of goals on his left foot as I'm used to using the Hulk.

Having one of top tier icons must be like entering some sort of cheat code lol

Finishing isn't the issue with most cards these days. It's the dribbling, specifically balance, agility and ball control and either passing or pace which matter depending on your style of play.

I'd argue that my 88 Zapata is capable of finishing anything inside the box and I've been using him since he was 87 too and he didn't miss much.

Finishing is overpowered.

I play Shearer alongside HL Zapata, feels better, and that heading!
Tried IF Icardi, SIF Belotti, CB Icardi, CB Immobile, 90 Van Nist & none of these come close.

I am going to get Koulibally CDM - stick him CB force Skrinrar Headliner out wide as he has better stamina than Manolas but 10 less pace. Then put SMS into CDM beside Flashback De Rossi.

I am now contemplating getting headliner sandro for LB but IF Kolarov has similar number of in game stats just for different things and he's much slower.

Scary thing last night, I forgot I had NIF Mertens on the loan card, used him to get SMS and forgot how clinical he was, finishing from every angle on both feet, outscored Birthday Immobile, Prime Raul, probably on par with Ibra!

Might have to give his Birthday card a try!
