Can’t really blame the player base for exploiting EA’s lack of competency when rewards are up for grabs I guess.

That is the problem now. FUT 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 years ago, the drive/goal was simple, play games to build a better team, that was fun. Now it's like a job for people, it's not a game anymore, just a chore, grind wins us using any method necessary. The end goal is hoping you will be rewarded with a nice player, of which there are only around 20 usable in the whole game because of the "meta". It's created a community who have gone bat **** crazy with it all.

Ive played FUT since the very first iteration and its very true. But you could say the same about every game. I remember the original COD 4, MW2 where it was more social and played for fun. Now everyone on COD wants to be a pro and cares all too much about there K/D. Due to the nature of this everyone wants to give themselves the biggest advantage. Whether that be hardware, software or just following metas.

I'm pretty certain i've seen you mention K/D or wins/losses etc in the past and that you wouldn't play if it was negative which is the mentality of many other people and part of it all. (if it wasn't you i apologise)

I do think the replay-ability since they introduces FUT champs and SBCs etc has improved a lot but its made the game a lot more competitive. I guess if people dont want that then H2H Seasons is more for them.

Yeah it was me. Like you, I have played COD since 3 and other than some stints playing HQ and S&D, for the past 10+ years I've predominately played TDM. Your K/D states what kind of an asset you are to your team, so I've always gone on that. Plus, it's just been a running thing with friends throughout, comparing stats. It never changed our play style like it does with people on FIFA, you could have course camp every game to achieve ridiculous kills but that wasn't our thing.
The same could be said for FIFA and your W/L ratio. It shows how good I am at the game, not for others to see but just for my own perusal!

I just want gold tournaments back and seasons that isn't littered with these ridiculous icon objectives that have made a mockery of the whole thing!

Kane and some dud from player picks. Kane, I can't see using other than a super sub until a decent SBC comes out for him. For once I had some okay luck on packs, the problem is players are worth naff all. SIF McGinn, Silva, Benzema, Thiago Silva were others from packs.

Said sod it last night, did Roberto Carlos, 1/3 cause I wanted him, 1/2 cause of the love I had for him in FUT12 and 1/3 so I don't have to do any more stupid grinds this year!

Also bought in Baby Koeman and Baby Rijkaard, Koeman playing CM and being pretty decent, Rijkaard is a killer at CB!

For anyone also thinking of doing Paulino, do it! Allan on steroids!

Roberto Carlos at CDM was immense in 13 I think, Maybe put him there

Thought I'd play in the morning incase the servers would be better, 14-9 now, this game man, seriously.

You can't play it when its in the utter state that its in.

I'm clearly not as good as I think I am, I can accept that, but I am not this bad, there is no way on the planet I'm this bad at the game. Its a farce.

Edit: 14-10, 2-2 draw in which I hit the post 4 times and the game gives my oponent two goals from nothing, with his only 2 shots. What is this? Seriously? What are we playing?

8-3, had some time this aft to play for once. No lag or anything which is nice. Lost on pens and two other pretty poor players that was annoying but I struggle to concentrate fully when kids are pestering me every 5 mins

Also, plusnet, FTTC, 38mb. Rarely suffer from lag, it's never as responsive as offline but that's been the same since I've ever played football games online.

Gutted my club and got Mbappe, his price has finally down near the 900k mark. So him and Neymar up front. Reus, I liked but his lack of agility/pace just meant I swapped him at half time every game, hoping Mbappe makes ups my game somewhat.

What do you guys think of Neymar? He is by far the least effectual player in my forward line. Zidane outscores him from CDM.

He is easily my best player but I don't have a team like yours. He has 135 goals in 140 games, all online which is pretty damn good.

Wow, mine is a goal every 3 games at best. What position / formation are you deploying him?

ST (442) - Reus who alongside him barely gets a goal every 3 games, I don't try and get the ball to Neymar every time neither.

Neymar is my favourite player also play him ST in 442 or cam behind messi in 4231

That felt awful for me, @Quinnaay! The third goal I was checking if I had utorrent open, there was a definite lag. You would have hammered me regardless, you're a lot better than me!

Good games Andy. First one felt nice for me for a change, second one had lag spikes and all sorts. My word Messi is phenomenal i felt bad some of the goals he was ripping in.

It highlights the issue we all talk about though which is a shame, connection varying from player to player is a huge issue.

I don't tend to feel delay and would never use it as an excuse for losing, but I think you could see some of the touches I was making I was trying to pass but kept getting tackled.

You can tell my button change, the amount of times I did that 'skilled' passing. I don't really have a plan B, when 3-1 up there isn't really an excuse for shipping that amount of goals. I only have one way of playing lol.

Good games, hopefully we can have some more with a better connection. And yes Messi is really annoying, although I kept showing him onto his left. VVD and Rio are really difficult to get past, Mbappe felt nice, the team is poor though. It was the first time using it.

This game is literally the most stressful game ever! Got to level 4 in Fut and within about 4 hours of losing loads of games and smashing my pad up I am now stuck in Div 8 ! seems to be impossible to get out !

I think this is the problem everyone has. The Weekend League is an example in that regardless of the upgrades you make to your team, you will always finish where you did last week! I guess this is the difference with the casual player vs Professional.

If you find a formation and a play style you're comfortable with, it outweighs having amazing players if I'm honest.

I simply can't play 4231 this FIFA. I would be more competitive with Rashford and Vardy in a 442 than Neymar and Mbappe in a 4231. Hence my post above!
