I was thinking this when playing, it's annoying really. I think it's more me, rather than the game mind, we're just old gits :p

It would be the same if I went to PES.

For me this was my issue with FIFA 19, spent a similar amount at the beginning of the game and then got bored quickly

Enjoying the RTG/grind of FIFA 20 much more and that’s with the unbearable gameplay. It’s also less frustrating when you lose!
 
I just hate in a game when you realise the momentum/luck has shifted and the game decides you won't be scoring now but almost any shot your opponent takes will go in or any rebounds will fall to him and your tackles will bounce back to him and all that rubbish.

Maybe Andy, but it tends to be ball roll, drag back, pass into space, go to shoot ........................................finally shoots then it gets blocked by the other players left nostril :rolleyes:

I still do get some enjoyment out of John Barnes running down the wing then I look for Beardsley and he’s never there :(

@Rids who would you spend 6 million on?

Not sure on team, but im sure having Mid/prime Gullit and Baby Eusibio would give me some satisfaction.

The game is a massive love/hate relationship for me. Some days feels and plays fine others its woeful. I dont enjoy rivals one single bit and thats part of the problem as playing in the week doesnt interest me.

At the moment - nobody.

I'd be holding until the TOTY crash, I'd like to try that 98 Pele (as Pele is actually decent this year), Prime R9 but I doubt he'll go down 6 mil. See what the TOTY cards are, you could get a couple of decent players for that price.

Been really busy this weekend, had to work most of it so just getting to my games now. At 15-4, gameplay is good, enjoyable games even the one I've lost. Complete change from yesterday.

When the gameplay is good I do enjoy this game now I've gotten used to it, its just when the gameplay is poor and everything is delayed its worse than every other Fifa.
 
14-2, playing so much better now. New team/formation (41212 narrow) and POTM Messi doing the business.

Acuna is an absolute machine at LCM. Shame I've had to bench Flashback Paulinho and Diego Carlos - both excellent, but wanted to try Ramos and DDG - who have both been great as well.

Modric, as I suspected, is a little bit meh, he's just a bit small and pathetic, but has good passing/shooting.

David Villa has been consistently excellent for me since he was released, can't fault him. Same for Pique and Morales too, he's like a pound shop Neymar.

Ha, should have been more clear was always going to wait for the crash. Struggling to see which direction I should go. Have ADP 87 and Messi up top who are great. Tried ZZ in the middle of the park and he's OK but overpriced by about a million sooo, I'm back to my original question :p

@Robbo love your description of Morales :D
 
Played one this morning and got slapped, so now 14-8. Just need one more win with two goals from French players in Rivals, but maaaaan everyone's out to ruin it all of a sudden...
 
Didn't get this iteration this year. I really want to see a massive change. Something where putting all your time and effort doesn't get completely dumped the next year.

I really enjoy the early grind but it's just endless money/time to all be reset every year with nothing to show

Been back using the narrow a couple of wéeks now and it's by far the most fun to use. It is really difficult against some top tier players using 4231 mind. Looks like a fun team too.
 
17-5 to 21-9, Gold 1 again so I'm pleased.

Every game today was tough, couple of key moments had gone my way and I could be in elite. Again though, servers were great, very enjoyable.
 
Anyone used 90 Best? Just figured out I could use him as St. He'll be my biggest purchase this year. Only Salah would be on 7 chem. Could also go with Messi but means both mane/Salah would be on 8/7

Best 90 is the wrong one to buy that is the version based on his US playing days getting boozed! 88 is the version to use, must have played over 800 games with him over the years

Yeah, the fact I got Guardiola quite early from swaps meant I thought it was logical to do the decent looking Spanish SBC’s, and they haven’t disappointed. Guardiola himself is ok, definitely needs upgrading at some point but he’s a good CDM.

:p it’s true though, he does resemble him a lot in game, not as good but he’s certainly a high level player, fast and agile with a great finish.

New icon swaps tonight I think?

Apart from the extra 1 pace and stamina, what does the 88 do better? The shooting and passing upgrade seems nice on the 90
 
Game just tilted the life out of me, yesterday i was virtually unstoppable, today got smashed almost every game scraped Gold 1 on my last game from going 15-2 lol!
