FIFA 20

I need to stop trying to use excuses not to use 442, it's the best formation suited to me and now I'm left with the CR7 problem again. Argh
 
This really is the worst FIFA ever for me, no matter what I do, I can't play consistently. I genuinely think my account's matchmaking is broken as well.

I think I'll have to stop playing at this rate as it's beyond frustrating.
 
Loving 4 4 1 1 at the moment, however I have been doing the icon swap rivals challenges in div 8 and its quite good fun.:)

Also started using overload ball side tactic, appears to work quite well most of the time.

I'm right there with ya.
What's frustrating is that I'm sure I'm probably being outplayed, but it always feels like I'm getting screwed over by the game. Either my players can't hit the target (today I missed a goal while behind but managed to hit both posts and have it rebound out) while they can shoot from range and it sails in or my player switching isn't giving me the useful defender and my passing feels more like a vague suggestion than an input. Sometimes my GK seems to be afraid of the ball while there's is like a magnet. Then there's the lag which isn't usually awful but can be just enough that my passes and tackles are a bit late.
I'm sure a lot of the time I'm being outplayed but it just feels like there's always something else going wrong.
 
Think it’s alright Fifa to be honest, better than last years where timed shooting and that stupid el tornado crap ruined it.
Least it’s something like realistic this year.

If only this were true, but people just pass the ball around slowly all day waiting for a chance/mistake, it's mind-numbingly boring. If you try and press them you just get picked off.

I didn't think it could be much worse than the el tornado mess, but it really feels like it.

I had loads of delay as well so can barely string 2 passes together.

And then you remember, you put in all this effort in WL just to get some trash rewards. It's sad.

I press and I get gold 2, people break the press but I figure it’s more interesting and those people on balance would beat me playing the snooze fest of 442 or 4231. Each to their own it’s far better than last years for me.

Get rid of the auto blocks and lunges and I would be happy to be honest.

edit effort? It’s meant to be enjoyment? If I wasn’t enjoying it I wouldn’t be playing it see the last 2 or 3 years :p

Considering you're an advocate for the youtuber tutorials I'd be surprised if you use a formation that isn't classed as 'OP'!

You will find one about 442, closely followed by me mentioning Airjapes and putting some fun back into the game. :p

Besides trading is good fun as well, keeps me amused.
 
Just watching Kurt play his last few games and he conceded a pen to an AI block and the penalty then went straight through his keeper, Traore then ran straight through two players and crossed to Maradona who out jumped his defender to score a header and then he pulled one back only to concede a kick off goal. Now completely lost his head :D
 
The game does rely on a lot of luck, what you described, Pigeon will happen in all games, it's just a matter of luck whether your'e on the wrong side of it. I'm 9-4, I thought I'd get more games done but 90 mins, ET and pens just takes it out of you. I will get 11 wins tomorrow, maybe 14.
