FIFA 20

Spent an hour earlier doing the BPM method and I've made about 100k so far, largely down to Irish rare players but also I've almost redone the CSL and Saudi leagues again. No TOTS though :(

All duplicates, keep the rest for League SBCs or bronze upgrade packs. Hit a few Mallorca, one Paderborn and two Dijon players earlier which made about 50k :o

Usually start with a half full trade pile and do BPM until I've got a full pile of duplicates. Sold a few Romanian rares for 500-3000 coins earlier, no idea why but they're selling.
 
Just packed TOTS Dembele from an untradeable pack, thought decent, he’ll help with the Ligue 1 icon swaps objectives

Just packed him again, thought I’d got a duplicate untradeable but turns out it was a traceable pack! Bonus

Can’t believe I’ve hit 3 in two days from about 10 saved packs (still got around 20 left)

My pack luck was rubbish going into this, so it’s either really improved or the hit rate on these cards is good
 
4-0 down in my second game and all his goals have come from his players closing down my goal kicks FFS. Short ball or long balls he's won every single one. I literally can't keep the ball from my own set pieces when opponents use constant pressure. Every ****ing week.
 
Got bored and went for a few more, 8-1. Pretty happy although the one guy I lost to was a guy I encountered last week, didn't do much and had Van Dijk and Gomez just doing all the work for him.
 
Grinded to 12 tokens and still torn who to get. I keep looking at Lampard to replace Goretzka. I am now thinking Overmars as Gervinho isn't great. There is likely to be a EOEA David Silva soon which I will definitely do but how on earth I get him in my team I don't know!

Im doing the Laporte card also but I don't think he gets in over Zakaria/Akanji/Koeman in that CB. Just a nice card to have. Also very close to the Verstraete milestone but again might just be SBC fodder.



Ideally my first 11 has at least;
Sandro, Ramsey, *David Silva EOEA*, Mertens, Hazard and then use one of my CB e.g. Akanji, Zakaria or Koeman.

If EA release a crap EOEA Silva then makes things a little easier.

I keep hearing that :( his agility apparently kills him. I agree about Laporte, the crosses with prem players is gonna kill me but I really want it.

If I don't go Lampard I guess I go Overmars and grind more tokens and risk the pack.

If I were you, grind as many tokens as you can over the next 40 days then see where your team is - you may pick up some decent cards during TOTS and the icons you actually need may change

Not a bad idea. I think I will only get to 15 really. The squad battles ones will be the end of me.
 
I know why it happens (constant pressure) but I don't know why I'm so susceptible to it. 3 goals were scored direct from my own KO, all misplaced passes backwards that were intercepted.

Just beat someone who was unfortunate enough to take his Rivals Icon Swap BPL team in to WL, needed that :o

Edit: 17 games down, 16 x 433(4), 1 depth, drop back counter attack players. Feels like I've played an 1800 minute game so far.

Call players short, you'll be fine.

I also think you're reading the formation wrong, there is no way people are playing 433(4) in game, its most likely 4231.

I assume you've got a decent of custom tactics? Your fullbacks aboslutely need to be set to stay back while attacking this the wing play meta this year. Just remember if you go ahead, do not play their game, if somebody is one depth looking for counters against me I'll hold the ball, I'll stick look for openings but I start playing safe, no risky passes, just control the game, eventually they'll press more leaving you more space.
 
Yep, fullbacks are set to stay back but I know when teams sit deep it brings your team further up the field which is how I'm constantly caught at the back. Literally one ball down the wing over my fullback, cut inside, 90th minute winner. I also know I'm average at best and a better player would spank this type of player but I'm not good enough to do it.

10-10 (4-6 yesterday, 6-4 today) so far and might just stop at Silver 1 given Gold 3 isn't guaranteed a decent TOTS. Not sure I'll play next weekend though, bored sick of the same tactics every game.

Edit: Thanks Rids. I was calling my defenders short but wasn't holding it long enough so they just stood at the edge of my box. Sorted that issue immediately.

Stopped at silver 1 before I lose the will to live.

Lib/sud grind going well, about to finish Moments Hazard and I've packed 3x TOTS from the packs (best was Simon). So currently 550k in profit and have almost got 1.5m coin Hazard :p
