FIFA 20

Did my placement games in Rivals before my 10 hours ran out, got to Div 5 with a poor/average team so happy with that.

Any deals yet on the Standard edition? I know the day before release retailers usually offer a few things...

I'm sorry man I just don't see it, when I first picked it up I liked it, the more I play the more I realise how deeply floored it is. I wish I hadn't spent money on Fifa points because to be honest I'd be happy never to play this again, winning, losing, I hate it.

Again its a game that does not reward good play - you work a good scoring chance and it will be saved, or it'll hit the post because that happens about 4 times a game. Your oponent gos up the other end, hits a shot from an angle that is never going in, and it boom rebound goal. Or just bang side on finesse shots from 30 yards all day long and watch them fly in.

Passing - just pass the ******* ball in the direction I'm pressing. How difficult is that to get right? I understand body angle may result in a weaker pass, I'm fine with that. Just put it in the right direction thats all I ask. Its a massive step backwards, an X pass to feet constant gos ahead or behind the man, its not a through ball, pass it where it should go.

Defending, jockey, jockey, jockey, SMASH! Yawn.

Anybody want to buy 6 million coins?
 
@Rids, I actually thought for once it was reliant on build up play, I've never played a FIFA where I've had to play so many square balls trying to work an opening. As with all FIFA games what appears hard now will become simple in a few weeks mind, defending for example. I think the keepers will get patched, or should do as RL keepers are trained to parry away from attackers whereas this game they seem to push the ball into the forwards feet!

I really like Neres up front and Saint-Maximum is a real handful, shame he's only a loan for me. I have Luiz and Baily as CBs and they seem pretty good still.
 
In all the years I've played fifa, the best advice I followed was don't take it seriously. At the end of the day, it's a game with faults. There are days where the faults will go against you and make you want to stop playing, but it works both ways.

Seems well expensive for not that great a card. Personally I dont think its worth more than 50-60k but given crazy prices at the moment 100k or so maybe. Or 15k for Ricardo Pereira who is nearly as good and faster. Guess you need the link. :)
 
Ive got a far better record on this one so far than every other fifa, usually im about 50/50 wins/losses, but im about 66/33 on this. Still dont think ive had a single clean sheet but my defending is improving.

Pukki POTM and Zaha up front are beasts.

My frustrations with the game at the moment, how easy it is to score from outside the box, but one on one with the keeper its almost impossible to score, scoring from weird angles and stuff like that are easier than a one on one.

Im probably enjoying it more than previous versions as first time ive sunk zero money into any packs and had that frustration, no matter the team ive got anyway it never makes me any better it seems so seems a waste.
 
If I were to give a brief opinion, overall it's a million times better than 19, at least in the sense that pace driven players can't get caught up on the break like they did previously...
 
It's nice playing normal, gold teams at the start. Reminds me of FUT of old. It all gets silly with the amount of silly rated cards they release throughout the year. I wish there were more tournaments with match making filters so you can play normal teams. Bring back the gold tourny!

Got an IF Orban too which I'll save for a later SBC. Plus I got Cancelo a few days a go from one of the first SBCs.



Maybe my pack luck has changed this game.
 
No great pulls for me so far this FIFA. Just got Busquests and Sancho from rewards so that's a few coins. Resisting the urge to buy points :p

Need to build a squad for 400k~ later.
