Lots of Twitch streamers are saying that the next-gen version is 2 patches behind the previous-gen version (which is partly why it seems better).

Yeah, my decision to sell up last weekend has been completely validated, would already be a million down had I held on.
I've managed to avoid the icon, literally the only card out of the whole set I'm interested in would be Eusabio, and those are not good odds.
I've been eyeing up Felix, while I don't see the card making my team come TOTY I think he'd be a very strong bench option and I have the untradeables to do him for nothing.
Luckily, he is around for 4 more weeks so I'll see what Futmas offers first.

8 wins, now just hitting brick walls of people way way better than me, insane dribblers and passes, can barely get the ball and their defence is insane, cant do anything. cba, gonna get lashed instead

I played on the PS5 last week and it was fine match making, this weekend its sweat after sweat, I'm 5-6 ffs, I haven't been paired with any blind players yet, what is going on?
Last week you were playing on PS5 using PS4 backwards compatibility and therefore still matching with PS4 players.
This week (assuming you're using the PS5 version of the game) you're only matching PS5 players.
Next-gen is reported to be sweaty AF across the board.

So if I play the PS4 version I’ll get the duds? I’d have thought all those with ps5s would be old men like me and crap??
Most people that have a PS5 will have money behind them, so more likely to have spent on Fifa points, but in general I'll agree with you, I was expecting matchmaking to be easier on next gen (especially as pros are all still playing on PS4 as no competitive PS5 scene this year) - but thats really not been the case. If you go back to PS4 game version things should be easier.
PS5 version of the game is a patch or two behind also.
Was sitting at 16-6 at one stage this morning and was feeling good. A game tilted me due to bad game management (2-0) up and crumbled to the pressure. I mistakenly kept playing and now only have 17-8.
Just need to iron out small mistakes and be able to overcome the usual BS. Elite 3 definitely within reach.
