I'm not sure what you expect from this type of player. With the runs he goes on you're not going to get absolute consistency unless you're at a low level. Whether that is a bad thing or not is up for you to decide I guess.
This is not a comparison between the two but I accept that Ben Arfa will sometimes run himself into a corner just on that slight chance we'll see something wonderful, by assisting someone else or setting himself up. Then again, I support one of the worst footballing teams.![]()
You expect them to know when to run and when not to. The difference between Ronaldo and Nani, for example, is that Ronaldo knows when to give it and when to run. Nani runs himself into corners and dead ends far more often. It doesn't make Ronaldo any less spectacular or effective a player, it merely makes him more consistent.
Neymar still needs to learn that. I'm not saying he can't, but he needs to.
