FIFA World Cup 2014 - GROUP D [Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy - 14/19/20/24 June] **spoilers**

Disagree, I've criticised him, agreed he should get his ban from the WC and now asking further questions :)

I see about 3-4 to be honest - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=26506310#post26506310

Although I imagine quite a few were on the England game so doesn't really count :)

It's deflecting, like a Lampard shot.

Exactly, people are outraged at tackles all the time but I think you know as well as I do that it is part of the game and there will be bad tackles for as long as the game is alive. Biting though..........don't see much of that.

You will see nasty tackles in pretty much every game.

Hopefully it will get huge media coverage and Fifa will be forced to act.
It'll be an utter disgrace if he isn't banned

The issue is he probably WILL get banned, but only from FIFA / World Cup games (ok maybe the next Confederation? Cup as well, that might be FIFA also)

If this was a one off, then that would be entirely fair (no matter how morally dubious) - however its now been proven twice and further "suspected" at least once more.

:D

I don't really call things like that tackles as there is no attempt to go for the ball, its just going in on someone. Got a point though that it happens regularly enough that people don't seem to really care.

I've always got a point Purd, it's just that you don't pick up on it sometimes :)

Biting again, what is wrong with him? He must have some deep rooted urge to bite people, but where could it have come from? So odd

No I'm not, just questioning why people aren't arsed about much worse things.

I've criticised him, he's a ****, curious as to why others aren't bothered about worse things or why the bans aren't longer. (E.g. his Ajax tackle should've been way longer than any of his other bans.)

Maybe because people do not know how to react to it since it's so strange and unnecessary and he appears to be repeating his behaviour. There is no line in the rule book for biting.

You know, I'm not sure if it is deliberate or just force of habit. He has got previous for it though. Not everyone will go tooth and nail to defend him these days. If he's extracted from the World Cup, then no doubt it'll need a filler to bridge the gap (Dentist puns are probably worse than the bite).
