FIFA World Cup 2014 - GROUP D [Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy - 14/19/20/24 June] **spoilers**

Yeah we improved drastically and had a fantastic season, it was incredibly enjoyable :)

Well... except for those final three matches it was. Other than that though. ;)

Prandelli resigns, do the decent thing Roy.

Replace him with who exactly? We're not entirely blessed with good English managers at the moment and Harry Redknapp isn't much better either.

The only thing that would actually make Suarez reflect would be to boot Uruguay out of the competition and reinstate Italy.

Maybe that is the remedy for really abhorent tackles/acts on the pitch: an automatic win to the other team.

Suarez has enough cash and knows someone will always want him. Personal bans/fines do nothing.

Why would that change his thought process during a game? He clearly can't control it.

Him not being in the team is probably his largest disappointment now and they are effectively out without him anyways. It would in no way change his retarded thought process or lack of.

Roy is all smiles and praise for the team as if they had won the cup, guy ******* clueless.

I think Roy's persona, the nervousness that grips him in high pressure situations is absolutely no good for the players. You need a manager who is absolutely determined to win, as much as the players/fans want to win. Roy just does not seem the have that motivational drive.

Well that has probably knocked about £20m off Suarez' value. Expect him to be off and playing somewhere else next season for ~£40m ;)

Who says he cant control it; when the punishment hurts enough, he will control it.

Do you still think it would be uncontrollable if you said that his wife and kids would die if he ever did it again?

I'd say that applies to the players, under any international manager. The problem is the players application, motivation and willingness to work as part of a team. Much lesser players have formed far stronger units in this world cup, it's a shame that our players have such lofty impressions of their own ability and seemingly such a reluctance to actually commit to something that wins football games - team work
