England. Seem a little bit lacking in leadership at the back.
Also we lack a world class forward up front. Rooney / Sturridge will be our best two.
Was thinking about our games a few days ago, and I came to the conclusion that we HAVE to beat Italy in game one.
Lets say that Uruguay will beat Costa Rica (most likely), if we only get a point or lose to Italy in the first game and then play Uruguay and fail to beat them, we are already out of the competition.
On the other hand, a win against Italy a draw against Uruguay and a win against Costa Rica and we have a chance to top the group.

Considering the last time we played Italy in a competitive game we lost, I reckon it will be 451.
Also means we can rotate Sturridge and Rooney a little and keep them fit.
What you're really saying is that we have to beat Italy or Uruguay because everyone should beat Costa Rica.

In essence yes. But Uruguay are a tougher opposition to Italy, and by the second game, we dont really want to be in a position where we have to gamble to win the game, becuase we could lose it. And if we lost or drew against Italy previously we woud be going in to the final game on 0-1 points.
I know you can get out of the group wih only 4 points, but it's unlikely. Italy and Uruguay 'should' beat Costa Rica too.

Other than the discrepancy on the Fulham one pointed out above, thats pretty spooky
I saw that and said to myself but Atletico won the CL as I turned it off at 88 mins with them 1-0 up. Had to just check and saw they won 4-1 AET lol, missed that then didn't I.

This could be the only deciding factor, Suarez and Balotelli will undoubtedly want to REALLY prove something against England, definitely be raising their game against us. Just depends on the rest of their team, which I think we shouldn't have a problem with.
Which group winners etc do we go against providing we make it through?
EDIT - would it be Group C? Nothing but useless teams in that whole group - that would be perfect!
