FIFA World Cup 2018 - Quarter-finals [6/7 July] **spoilers**

Well this is more like it, they actually played and didn't just sit back after scoring. Even looked dangerous in the second half, unlike Colombia game where they didn't seem to have a clue how to score and what to do in the final third.

It was a travesty and an insult to Rashford to only give him less than 5 minutes of play after the way Sterling played though. If people praising him so much for running up a pitch quickly then Rashford can do that too and doesn't have a first touch like a camel.

Sterling is quickly becoming something of an enigma for England, I don't think I've seen him have a good game ever, he looks like he's broken through and then falls over the ball or something equally as daft.

Next game I think Rashford has to start although knowing Southgate he would probably score a hat-trick and then get replaced at halftime.

I give Sterling a pass this game though it was poor because it helped to shake Sweden up and contributed to the win even if he got lucky it didn't work against us.

i now what you mean but sterling pace causes choas though and fear amongst the defenders the icing on the cake would be a goal from him.

I'd prefer Croatia in the semis purely for the Russian support.

I also have to add my opinion of Sothgate has changed since he's become England manager.
He's comes across as a level headed coach & does his work behind the scenes without causing a scene in front of the cameras.

I have to say that Ashley Young, a player that was one of Villa's stars 10 years ago as an attacking winger, has been exceptional at left back. Really strong defending, on the ground and aerially. For someone not particularly tall he's really got up well.

He has had a stonking season for us to be fair. I thought he was done the year previous. Another thing with Gareth he is picking on performance rather than names.
