Russians next please, even though they will be playing like men possessed at home with a home crowd Croatia have a lot of quality in midfield I would rather avoid.

Indeed, Maguire & Trippier for me but the whole team have performed well (sterling aside)

Where do we stand on the previous games in this tournament and qualifying campaign though? His first touch seems poor, he doesn't take shots and always tries to line things up and doesn't seem to have the nerve or the confidence now. I'm just getting flashes of numerous fast English players who never materialised past their speed, all pace and no results. Would love to be proven of course with goals and assists but I'm not seeing it now that pressure is getting higher with every game.
 
Hoping Croatia v Russia goes to ET, with a whole bunch of cards. Let them wear each other out and have a few players suspended whoever we face

They can still be suspended for the semi based on yellows in the quarter. It’s the total after the game that’s then reset to stop players picking up a yellow in the semi and being banned for the final.
 
That was a nice clean game, makes such a difference not playing dirty teams!!

I think Croatia will beat Russia, and England Vs Croatia will be a VERY tough match, if we beat them it'll be by the skin of our teeth.

Whoever wins out of Belgium/France will be the winners, they've just been a class above the rest.

But...

It's coming home!! :D

Would have made sense for anyone one a yellow from the Tunisia game to get one in the Panama game to be left out for the Belgium game that didn't matter. That way they would have been reset for the 16

If you got one after that then you'd have only 1 game to worry about.

Luckily for us Maguire was only a yellow. So it gets wiped out. So does everyone else's. We are clean.

Russia and Croatia have the following players to worry about.
Croatia: Rakitic, Rebic, Brozovic, Corluka, Jedvaj, Mandzukic, Pjaca, Vrsaljko

Russia: Gazinsky, Golovin, Kutepov, Smolov, Zobnin
 
The only thing that worries me about England is how Southgate keeps Sterling on for so long and Dele Alli in the last game, when he was pretty much awol most the first half. Rashford imo isn't being brought on soon enough and I can see this haunting them.

This WC pretty much confirms what I always thought of Sterling, he is being carried by a good Man City side. He needs 10 chances to get a goal, and against better opposition (France/Belgium) they are gonna get punished if they continue with him, and then he'll bring Rashford on too late.

Why isn't he bringing Rashford on sooner!?!?
