Finishing top four due to a fluke of the draw and facing the first half decent team in the semi final doesn't make England better. IF we faced Croatia or Belgium or France in the R16 we'd have been out then. A semi final isn't automatically amazing if you didn't play anyone good to get there and going out in a group stage isn't automatically bad if two of the three other teams are say Brazil and France.

There have been no overly impressing performances, multiple players who offered little throughout the tournament and today most of the team looking very poor for the majority of it against a weak imo Croatian side.
