Most annoying thing is this was there for the taking, why do we always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Although overall we have done better than expected.so have to congratulate the lads efforts

Because of the poor referees.
In this occasion - clear foul in attack in the equaliser - the leg of the attacking player was at the level of the head of the defender.
There was a clear corner for England which wasn't awarded.
There wasn't any foul for Croatia 5 minutes before final whistle because their player was looking for a contact.

For me, both the Croation players and the Turkish referee are clowns.

Spain had trouble in that they had too many players who wanted time on the ball, not enough people making runs for the passes to be made to, Germany the same. England are the other way, Alli, Kane, they play with Eriksen, Sterling with Silva/KDB. We needed a midfield passer who can pick out passes and has great movement, that player was clear as day Wilshere. HE apparently wasn't taken because he didn't play much, despite playing plenty this year and being great for most of it. He's what the team was missing. Henderson has been trying fancy passing all game and most of hte tournament and has been poor while also not being good enough defensively. Dier and others, just not good enough going forward. We have so many players who need someone passing them in behind into shooting positions, Lingard, Rashford, Sterling, Kane, Alli, Vardy all need someone like Wilshere behind them picking out those runs, we don't have a single player anywhere near capable of that anywhere near the level Wilshere is.

Germany and Spain lost because of lack of a quality balance of the players they have, England completely lacked the central midfield creativity while also having Wilshere who literally every single half decent manager says is the only guy England have who would fit into Spanish sides precisely because he's able to play that way.

Not saying we'd have won this game or the tournament with him but it's what this team desperately needed to actually play better football than they did.

I can hear kids crying :(

Brilliant performance from the lads and a massive building block towards having a decent NT. Horrible way to go out though, I dont think Southgate has any confidence in the squad outside of the first 11.

Nevermind. Didn't expect the team to do very well before the tournament so a semi final is an awesome result imo.

Trippier was the stand out performer for me, Alli was really poor by his standards and Sterling sucked harder than an eager prostitute.

we paid for all those missed chances in the 1st half - should really have been 3 or 4 up before half time

Very good run, but quality wasn't really there today - Kane was playing far too deep for last few matches and once Trippier went off we didn't stand a chance
