Hype will be at absurd levels following the Euro 2020 run but I am fully prepared for them to crash out in the group stage.
I think the nations league performances quickly killed the hype tbh

Glad the England game is last as hopefully we'll be in a strong position if we beat / draw USA then beat Iran.
Group A isn't the strongest and you never know the Dutch might slight up and not win their group.

If England fail to move out of the group stages Southgate needs to resign. England on paper have one of the easiest groups in the draw.

FIFA rankings aren't really a yard stick that is worthy to use. USA aren't exactly a football powerhouse, sure they have a few good players but as a national outfit are litterally leagues behind the UK. Iran, same again, the only real potential trap is Wales.
Look at it another way, if All four of those sides were in the PL, England would be top 4 every season wales would be there or thereabouts, USA would be mid table at best and Iran would be in a relegation battle every year. No one can seriously look at those teams and in honesty say, " yeah that's some formidable opposition there for England" and keep a straight face.
I think it heavily depends on what England turn up. We should win all our games on paper but they’re all stubborn teams that are more than capable of frustrating England.
Based on the previous tournaments under Southgate I wouldn’t say any of those games will be easy wins.

The USA beat Mexico 2-0 this time last year and Iran drew with Portugal at last world cup so I don't see our group being a breeze at all. Not mentioned Wales yet ... two draws v Belgium in last 12 months ... i think its a tricky group.

Been watching the World Cup since 1966.
Used to it by now, after the initial euphoria wore off...as it would, 56 years on.
